I do not even know where to begin. Jasmine and her team are nothing short of amazing. From day one as I started to look for someone to cater our day I had only one thought in mind and that was that I wanted our day to be about love and one family. The best way I could think to accomplish this through a caterer was to look for someone who could support my vision and make it come to life. I reached out to numerous vendors and they all responded with the same auto message asking for the same information, until I came to Blue Sage Cousine. Jasmine, the owner of Blue Sage, personally responded to me and we began to discuss our vision. After a few emails Jasmine asked to set up a tasting with me and who ever else Iâd like to include and offered to do it at our home! I was absolutely shocked that a caterer was going to come my home, cook in my kitchen and let me taste countless appetizers, salads and main dishes. Jasmine and a member of her team showed up at our home with all the freshest ingredients and the warmest embrace. From the moment Jasmine started cooking in our kitchen she quickly became more than just a vendor. She told us every little detail about the food, gave us more options then our stomachs could hold and made our âone familyâ dream come to life by offering us a family style served option.
Throughout the rest of the process Jasmine always stayed in touch, always offered flexibility in options, made sure we always knew what would be in season and quickly answered any and all questions we had (trust me they were endless). Jasmine offered another in home tasting a month prior to the wedding to finalize the menu, she joined us for a final walk through at the venue and so much more. Jasmine was extremely knowledgeable on our venue and had so much experience to bring to the table which made decision making for us extremely easy. I trusted Jasmine with every recommendation and knew she would always point us in the right direction.
They often say there a few things that truly standout at a wedding but food can and will always be one of those standout items. On our wedding day I had countless guests comment on the meal, place settings, and service Blue Sage Cousine brought to the table. Blue Sage is hands down the best caterer in the Jacksonville area, I cannot say enough about Jasmine...
Read moreMy fiance and I had reached out to Blue Sage Cuisine in hopes to book with them after receiving a referral from Imperial Productions (our wedding planner). We came up with an amazing menu with Stephen (chef) who came up with an amazing explained our date was available and would be sending out an invoice within the week. Stephen, however, had not reached back out until a month later (after I had left messages several times with no response) explaining he booked another wedding earlier that day and the couple is thinking of adding onto their guest list, resulting in a "we may not be able to continue but would call back 10/16." Today, Stephen has ghosted my fiance and I on that aspect as he still hasn't sent a contract/invoice nor has he called since. I can understand a business looking for the better buck but l'm sure someone could agree that a phone call explaining you'd booked out is better than none. Highly disappointed. Attached you can see where my fiance and I originally reached out in September where we booked a call with Stephen 09/21/24 @ 1pm, reaching out a week later for an update 09/30/24 with no response to emails. We began to call for updates where you can see there was one made out 10/08, 10/10, and twice 10/14 (we called the main business number as we couldn't get through to Stephen). My fiance and 1 finally received a call back from Stephen 10/14 around 6pm explaining he hadn't reached out due to the other booking (A MONTH LATER) and would get back to us 10/16 with recommendations if things couldn't work out. When we never received that call we reached out 10/21/24 leaving a voicemail with the main business number in hopes to still receive those recommendations, we still have yet to hear back.    Read moreBlue sage was at first very accommodating. They personally came to my home to do a tasting, which was a very nice touch. Everything was fine and seemed like it was perfect until the day of the wedding. When it was time to eat, it was a disaster. They told us they would serve my husband and I, provide a "homestyle dinner" for the wedding party, and the guests would have a buffet. They brought out the sides and rolls for the wedding party but it took forever for them to bring the chicken. They also did not serve my husband and I until after half our guests had gotten their food, and I had to ask my wedding coordinators what was going on and THEY got our food for us. We gave them a head count, but they ran out of food and plates, and my maid of honor was running around to different tables and getting plates of guests who were done so they could be washed for other guests to use. After my mom complained they apologized to her, but I never heard from anyone at the company. Overall it was very disappointing and I have warned others to stay away from this company.
It seems like everyone else has had a good experience with them, so it makes me wonder what happened, but it would have been nice to at least...
