Read moreI've been coming here for decades! My favorite meal is the grape leaf platter, with hummus and tabulleh. It's just as good today, as when I first had it. The tabulleh is the best I've ever had. There's bread on the side, and I usually make sandwiches out of it, but each item stands on its own and is always fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the tea. It's not your average Lipton blend. Gyros more your liking? Don't worry, he has them too, and they are heavenly! Always seasoned to perfection! His tzatziki is well blended and flavorful, yet not overpowering. Put it on everything, from meat, to grape leaves, to french fries. Attached to Wally's, is a small market where you can purchase, candies, dried fruits, bread, teas, specialty drinks, canned and jarred food items, even hookahs and supplies. (You have to see it.) Save room for dessert! Wally has an assortment of baklava and similar dessert items, perfect to satisfy that sweet craving. Everyone is welcome at Wally's, and the staff are all helpful and friendly. Wally is often there, but if not, his staff will take good care of you. Take it to go, or eat in the dining area. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean and neat. Twenty-ish years and I've never been...
Read moreWhat can I say about Wally’s Gyro on Cesery Blvd other than this may be the best kept secret in Arlington! I have driven by this place literally hundreds (maybe even thousands) of times en route to visit my parents who lived nearby. I stopped for the first time a few weeks ago and have been back three of four times since. Wally’s is nothing short of a “hidden gem”. Behind the understated façade is a wonderful Mediterranean café and store. You will find all of the traditional offerings and very good wings. Oh – and this is amazing – every item I have ordered has been very good and incredibly inexpensive. Last night I had a falafel plater with tabbouleh, hummus, and pita for under $10. Excellent quality and abundant quantity. Most importantly to me, every (and I mean every) time I have been in to pick up take out the men working are over the top gracious and friendly. I become a customer for life when the employees make you feel like you are the most important person in the room. GO TO WALLY’S – you won’t be...
