Absolutely awful experience. If I could leave 0 stars I would. They have no respect for peoples time and the store is a mess. You figure that a business that has been doing this for a while would give you an accurate estimate of how long it will take.
All I wanted done was to swap out a factory deck for a Pioneer media controller. I purchased everything I needed for the job from Crutchfeild. I was initially going to do the job myself, however I was feeling a little unconfident with the steering wheel control harness because I would have to splice it in myself (I had Crutchfeild splice up the harness for the audio).
It was a Saturday and I called around to several places which were already booked. I called Daddyo's and they tell me its first come first serve and they could fit me in. I live about an hour away so I made the drive. I get there at 10:30am and they tell me it would be an hour before they can get me in. The girl working there said I could go get some coffee or something and come back at that time. I left my phone number with them and told them to call about 30 minutes before they were ready so I could be back on time. I go get some coffee down the road. 45 minutes go by with no call received so I go back 11:30am. I ask how much longer and they tell me there are 4 cars before mine. At that point I was annoyed. I am just speculating, however they probably slipped them in front of me when I left. I decided to wait it out because I really wanted to get the media player in that day.
At about 2:00pm I go use their restroom which was gross, I feel bad for the ladies that are forced to use that thing. I come out and ask about how much longer it would be. The girl there tells me they are just finishing up with a car and that I am next, only about 10 more minutes, and she take my key. I go back and sit down and another hour goes by and my car is still sitting there where I parked it (3:00pm).
I pull out my phone and start to look at some of the google reviews on the place and several mention the exact thing that I was experiencing, there are also some absolute horror stories. At that point I got up and went to the gentleman there, who I had initially spoke to on the phone. I asked what is going on and informed him of an appointment I had to be at 5:00pm. He asked to go see the parts which I had brought.
I show him the parts and then he states that the mute button on the steering wheel may not work when they do the swap. At this point after reading all the horror stories in the reviews, and not being able to get an accurate estimate on my wait, I lost all faith in this establishment. I will not be back. Was told I was wrong on both account. Told me I needed something else entirely. After some back and forth I went with his recommendation. Was all friendly after I paid for them talking about even if I break them during the install to bring them back. Well 2 days later while installing the front speakers removing my doors to do so the speakers he sold me were the wrong size and way to big for the hole. I live near the airport so it's a bit of a drive but I go back and politely ask to return the speakers for the correct size. The same guy from before flat out told me no. These are the correct size for my car according to my computer he said, being very stand offish about it and he went to do something else. I didn't budge I stood there until an older lady came up to talk to me. I explained what was going on. Mid convoy jerk guy walks by and goes "those are his right size he's lying to you". She sends one of her installers to look at my car. He comes back agreeing with me they are the wrong size but also tells me for anything but stock speakers needs an install kit for brackets. So I keep the speakers pay extra money for mounts and drive back home pissed. I go to work on them the next day get the front installed, basically have to rip out most of my car to get to the rear speakers.... guess what the speakers I bought are the wrong size completely. My rear windshield is less than half an inch from the speaker. I would have to remove the entire glass to install them from the top. Went all the way back and the same rude guy was there. He talked down to me and argued with me once again. I finally had enough. I got livid, went outside uninstalled the fronts boxed everything up. Walked inside tossed the receipt at him and only responded with 2 words for everything. Full refund.    Read more2 stars because they did get me in when they said (I was there before they opened as advised, so was first). The store is 45 minutes from my home. Installed my Dash Cam 2chan and it looks clean enough. However, the installer failed to connect the camera to the always-on power source, so the 'parking mode' clearly would not work. I have them the parts and fuses, etc along with the brand new camera kit. They botched it, and to boot they kept the extra parts and fuses that weren't used. As I entered the shop when called to pick up, the installers and a rep named Chris were in a heated argument about working conditions, and specifically working with Chris. They clearly despise him, and their language in the open store floor was nothing good ever expect to hear. Lots of F bombs, and calling off explained names. I drove home and noticed that when I turn off the car, the camera power down. Not good. I called the store and Chris answered. His first comment was that "there must be something wrong with your car" Huh? Then he just casually started that I need to bring it back in so they can "take another crack" at it. Yeah, I know that they will need to have the car to correct the botched install, but no consideration of my considerable time and distance in either his tone or commentary. I'm fact, didn't they quality check installs before they call the job done? I know they couldn't have since not only was the power screwed up, but the camera was upside down... I can invent it on the app, but they didn't even check it. When I asked to speak with the manager, Chris was extremely rude, Said he wasn't going to do that, and Hung up on me. They got my money, but I'm not ever giving them another "crack at it". Why should I believe they know what they are doing at this point?
