The only reason I give the complex 1 star is because it does not allow you to go lower! I have been in this complex going on 17 months and I regret ever moving in. The walls are thin, the neighbors are not courteous (knowing that they are above others), and there is a huge bug problem! I have had to be added to extermination ( outside of normal scheduled rotation) on numerous occasions. For the past two years there has been a terrible gnat issue. I am not the only one with the issue ,a lady in a different building, was in the office every time I was saying she was having the same issues! I was just told to do ACV and things of that sort. Which didn't help very much. I have HUGE roaches/water bugs that were living in my exhaust fan, that were literally crawling out and falling on us! Every morning this past week I've been greeted by roaches and have had 4 crawl in my bed. Three of those 3 happened two nights back to back. I leave nothing out ( my trash is even taken out nightly) and they are still terrible! I have gone without washer and dryer ( a month each) and have over 30 tiles that should have been replaced (before I even moved in) that have still not been replaced. They just came on this Friday and said they will not even start to replace them until after the holidays! I have tried to address the issues with the front office and it's really pointless! I will say that Amber does her best to respond quickly and get answers, but I'm always told they have to wait on corporate. Maintenance requests aren't worked in reasonable times and sometimes they aren't fully completed. Mr.Mike tries to get things done but sometimes leaves and doesn't come back. I am extremely frustrated and I honestly don't know what else to do to get results, outside of a review, at this point. I was told that I wasn't able to even talk to anyone in the office because I reached out to my attorney about the issues ( to see if things were being handled correctly) and that meant that I could only have my concerns forwarded to corporate. Which that still hasn't solved anything. I'm not even sure if any of this was mentioned to corporate or if it was " scare tactics". Hopefully this will shine light on just some of the things I've been dealing with. It seems like there has been retaliatory issues in the past from doing reviews, so hopefully that...
Read moreI’ve been living here a few months. I think Puller Place is only one of two options for a decent and livable apartment in Jacksonville. The apartments are nice and spacious and maintenance responds promptly. The leasing folks are amazing in my eyes. I was in attitude mode and gave it to them the day I moved in and they didn’t get snappy back when they could have and should have (I apologized to them it was my issue). My only complaints with Puller Place is their soundproofing it’s pure trash I can hear everyone stomping up and down the steps because walking normally is apparently hard for the adults that live in my building, closing their doors, walking across the floor like they are auditioning for My 600 pound life, their TVs and music (which I’ve had to call JPD), and my favorite (not) their dogs run across the apartment. Now I will give Puller credit I have never heard my next door neighbors unless they went out the door. So soundproofing is good from that aspect. I understand apartment living you will SOMETIMES hear others but the folks on the third floors act if they live in single family homes. It’s annoying and yes I’ve notified the leasing office. I also agree with others who mentioned them not enforcing parking and holding dog owners accountable for cleaning up after their pets and also walking their pets on leashes. Luckily I’m not afraid of dogs but some folks are I can’t tell you how many times dogs have jumped on me while living here my couple of months. I know they just want to say hi but no they should still be on a leash. I’ve had no problems with bugs thankfully. All in all I still think Puller Place is one of the best options around and rent is pretty reasonable to me compared to what others offer and charge here in...
Read moreI understand that after Hurricane Florence it set a lot of people back. The day my roommate and I got our keys to the apartment was the day before Hurricane Florence was supposed to hit and literally the keys were handed to us, and then the lady left immediately after because she was evacuating (understandable). Today I put the little cup of Mac n cheese (the ones you just add water to) put it in the microwave for the advised amount of time and while I was sitting on the couch I smelt smoke and looked back and the inside of microwave was on fire, smoke everywhere, NO SMOKE ALARMS WENT OFF! I was able to put out the fire, opened windows and doors to air our apartment, and called the leasing office. As soon as I got on the phone I spoke to a Jennifer who is apparently the “property manager” when I explained what happened, and how upset I was at the fact about how hard it is to reach anyone from the office ( I’ve called, left voicemail, emails, numerous times on numerous occasions and never received any responses, I would go to the office but it was closed after the storm and just recently opened back up last week... SIX MONTHS AFTER THE STORM) Jennifer laughed at me, was extremely rude and requested “proof” that my roommate and I have tried to contact them, which I had no issue providing. Extremely rude, not how a property manager should conduct herself in my opinion. Apartments are gorgeous, a lot of space, but as far as having to deal with leasing office and maintenance... you’re better off figuring it out on your own because they are no help what so ever... now let’s see how long it takes for them to fix my smoke alarms &...
