I was excited to shop here for the first time after finding out how affordable the merchandise is, but then very disappointed in the customer service I witnessed as I waited to pay for my goods. The customer ahead of me was trying to purchase 2 identical blankets, one was priced 15$ (clearance) and the other was priced 24$ (not clearance). The cashier refused to charge the clearance price for both items because the clearance item was only cheaper due to how long it had been in the inventory. These blankets were IDENTICAL SIZE COLOR AND BRAND and she did not show any sympathy whatsoever about the situation. I can understand a policy is a policy, but in a moment like this a little empathy would have helped you keep your customers. If you have clearance items because they havent sold fast enough, why are you ordering more of the exact same item and selling them next to each other at different prices? Unfortunately, after what I witnessed yesterday at this particular Home Goods store, I will not be back. I was shopping near the bath area, and heard commotion and cussing from what I assumed to be the employee break room. I heard a loud slam from the door and witnessed a store manager (blonde hair with a short stature) belittling and speaking to an associate in a condescending manner VERY LOUDLY. Mind you, this door was left wide open for every customer to hear. I’m not sure what was going on, but the employee was visibly upset. This is very concerning, especially after reading other reviews on here about how the store manager treats her associates. When we was walking near entrance area my dog was barking to HomeGoods worker. She was cleaning trash. N same time she looking me and cut her eyes on me. It was very nasty n ugly attitude. She had wig on her hair blond long hair. If she does nasty attitude to customers. They don’t want to stay store. I want to look more. But I left . Cuz I didn’t like how she was looking me.
