Not that anyone honestly cares about this, but the clientele that frequent this store to play magic with few exceptions are extremely transphobic.

If you are LGBTQ+ and looking for a store to game at/hang out at, avoid this place like the plague.

If you can't deal with squeaking floors, the cold, tons of noise, and a mold smell? Avoid this place.

The incident in question happened a long time ago, but it really made me and my friends feel unsafe and unwelcomed. We honestly thought we were going to get assaulted walking back to our vehicle and leaving.

This shop is also still, supposedly, running events during the COVID pandemic. But I can't fully confirm that. Will never shop here again, I'd rather drive the hour to Nashua or the 30 minutes to Keene to the shops out there like Enterprize, Relentless Dragon, or Comic Boom. For a business that has a rather short following for the area, The Escape Hatch is all I could ask for in a comic shop. The staff are very friendly, but not only that, they actively seek to bring people together with similar hobbies and interests. They have a room in the back that's open to anyone needing a table to play in, with comfy chairs for reading a good book or commic. I was disappointed when I was not welcomed to the shop, just to walk in to someone in the back playing games on his computer as if that were the job..
