I have been to Good Guy Gun a number of times and have made several purchases. My first impressions were COMPLETELY wrong. When I first went in, I was confused and hesitant based on the size and layout of the shop. I was expecting a larger front with displays of both long guns and pistols. When I didn't see this, I thought it was just a specialty shop geared twords handguns and competition guns. I was glad to learn I was wrong. While they don't have a lot on display, they do have a wide array of available products. If you don't see it, ask. There is a parent shop, who's inventory they have access to. They also have great distributors making it easy for them to aquire what you're looking for, with a fast turnaround. They also do consignment. They have in-house smiths and a machinist. They do some AMAZING trigger work. The owner is a competitive shooter, so the guy knows his business. The employees do too. Everyone there knows their way in and out of a firearm. They stay up to date on all the new and upcoming products. All the staff are pleasant and a joy to work with. You TRULY get exemplary one-on-one service. In my opinion, their pricing is extremely good. Oh, the best part, if they say they will call you, or they'll look into something for you, they actually do, rather than just giving you lip service, like I'VE recieved at other locations. I can't sing their praise enough nor can I recommend you check them out and give them a shot more strongly. Seriously, you won't be...
Read moreGood Guy Guns is an outstanding shop, particularly for those seeking high-quality 1911/2011 builds—something many gunsmiths won’t take on. Dan, a competition shooter, brings deep expertise, and both he and Chris are straightforward, no-nonsense professionals who are not only welcoming but knowledgeable.
Their pricing is fair, but more importantly, the craftsmanship is excellent. They don’t push unnecessary upgrades or gimmicks, and they were more than willing to accommodate my specific requests and answer my questions without pretense. Whether you're an experienced shooter or newer to firearms, you’ll get honest advice and top-tier work here. Will be having more work done by them. Highly...
Read moreI was referred to Dan a few weeks ago and I wish I had known about him before I ever purchased my first firearm. Apart from his massive knowledge base, he's a legitimate performance shooter who can back it up. He's also able to break down complex explanations to a 10 year old - that's truly knowing your stuff. Any Advice/feedback means a little more coming from someone who's accomplished what he has - which he's too humble to mention half the time. He serviced my firearm for me within 15 minutes after multiple gunsmiths said I'd need to have it sent out to sig for a new FCU. This is the only place I'll be taking my firearms for the...
