I had come here on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago and asked Mousa Baba if he buys systems, games, and accessories to which he replied that he does. He told me that he pays 60% of the value in cash and that he is known all over Houston as paying the most. He even stated "the guy over there was asking $500 and he offered the guy $600", the guy aknowledged by nodding his head yes. So I returned the following week to sell my large collection of Nintendo Switch games, console cases, Joy-Cons, Amiibos, and misc. accessories worth a low average value of around $4000 or so according to Terra peak. When he was finished calculating everything, he came to a grand total of $1,700. I was very hesitant to sale, but he told me that we should let go of our items and move forward with life and that we can't keep them and the value would only go down in the next couple of years. So, I decided to let go of the games and accessories plus Joy-Cons and 1 console. I decided not to sale my switch or OLED switch consoles as he only offered me about $50-$150 for each. I also decided not to sale my MK live sets(2 Mario & 2 Luigi). He paid me through Zelle instead of cash. He also told me I would have gotten more if I did store credit. I was only selling all of this as my wife had told me that I needed to get rid of it all and not come back with it. Otherwise I would not have taken such a low ball figure. When I got home, my wife was actually more upset with me for allowing him to take advantage of me. He didn't even give me a receipt or any kind of itemized list with prices. He only told me what he could get it for through "his connections". I asked what his pricing source was and he only showed me a quick glimpse of 1 item he was researching on his cell. I didn't even get to see who or where as he also wasn't aware of Terra peak. It seems as though he only googled the games to get a low ball park figure. He then stacked them in 5 separate stacks($5, $7, $10, $15, & $20). I had several games worth $70 - $130 including a new sealed Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition currently worth $72.16. After getting home and trying to crunch the numbers, I found that he had given roughly 25-33% of the values on all games and most other stuff. He did given me a little extra for the 2ds, Gold Mario Amiibo, BOTW case, and about 70% of the value of Super Mario 3D All-Stars(slightly used). Also, many games came in collector tins or had collector items with them such as SpongeBob SquarePants Cosmic Shake Coin Edition. Plus all but 3-4 games were in their original cases. I figured I could have easily gotten around $4,500+ after fees shipping and taxes, if I would have just sold it all on eBay like I was going to originally do. I really feel I've been cheated and would never recommend any one going here to sale unless they don't care what they get. Also, I asked about the yellow switch lite he no longer had in stock and he pointed me towards the Dialga and Palkia Edition stating it was new for $230. But after he opened it to show me, I noticed there were scratches and scuffs on it. So he sold it to me for $210. If he would have given me at least double, I probably wouldn't have gotten in as much trouble with my wife and would have been happier. (Remember, GOD is always watching!!!)
In response to the owner's response; only the 2DS smelled of cigarettes smoke. All other items were purchased new except about 20 games and are from our smoke free home. No, I didn't get what they were ACTUALLY worth. I got way less. Also, I told you the smoke was probably from me as I just had a cigarette away from my vehicle and minutes before unloading my vehicle and coming into your store. Karma bites you when you least expect it! What comes around goes around! Oh, and your offer of me partnering with you is rejected as I have a conscience and won't find ways to screw people out of their items or money!!! I've sold many games, systems and items on eBay, I personally give deals and offer 70% of an item's actual value when purchasing from someone. You told me what to do...
   Read moreHi everyone,
I was very excited to visit this store, but after today I don’t plan on visiting again. I came in to sell 3 consoles and a few accessories that came with it and was given a fair price with reasons that made sense.
The reason why I will not come back nor recommend people to visit is due to their customer service. When I arrived in the store there were 5 employees. I was not greeted after standing still in the store for a few minutes. Once greeted, I stated my business for being there and the employee gave me a fair price for the consoles. At that point two employees began testing the consoles which took forever. I was in no rush, but the amount of time I spent waiting for the two employees to finish testing the consoles was unreasonable. I would like to give a big thank you to the gentleman in glasses that asked us if we needed help with anything else since he saw that we’ve been waiting in the store for a while. One may argue that the testing process can take time. Sure, but as the two employees were testing there was multiple conversations between the staff about ordering food.
I follow this company on Instagram and was really excited to visit since the content this company posts makes it seem like their staff care about providing quality customer service. When you have 5 employees and no more than 5 customers in the store. There is no reason for me to have...
Read moreWow what a store! I stopped in simply to look for a gift for a family member, and was pleasantly surprised when I first walked in. I had no idea what to purchase as I am not a gamer, however I was greeted with a warm welcome as well as educated on all my options, never once felt obligated purchase anything specifically. I believe I was speaking to the owner (Mo).
I had recently shopped at other large name brand game stores and because of my lack of knowledge in regards to gaming, I felt out of place when inquiring about specific game consoles and their differences, I also got the "hurry up and buy" vibe. Not here! Mo took his time, he had a genuine concern for what I was looking for, who I was shopping for, age range, and what their interests looked like to get a better idea on what games to get. At that point I was still in the price shopping mode, but after experiencing that type of genuine concern and understanding my needs, I was sold on that alone! It also didn't hurt that the prices were EXTREMELY affordable compared to other big name game shops I had visited. I sincerely recommend this to everyone! Whether shopping for yourself or someone else, when making your next purchase for hard to find collectibles (took me back in time), gaming, and simply for the wonderful and welcoming atmosphere. Thanks again Hey Bro...
