Tacos El Patroncito — Restaurant in Texas

This used to be a good place, but they can’t seem to keep employees and cooks. The food has definitely went down. Last week they messed up my order so I spoke to a manager, who promised me she would redo my order when I went back. I told her I would be back on Friday. She was the sweetest and told me the cook is new and she would be there and make sure it’s redone. I call up there today and the lady in charge said that manager quit and she called the owner who said that manager isnt there anymore and he couldn’t give me my full order redone just half of it. (Even though he agreed as the mgr hung up with me and called him about it) The entire order was messed up and they admitted it but I went ahead and took it. I was already there with my daughter to pick up dinner. I didn’t check my order and when I got home I noticed they messed up again. I called and the lady said she sorry but the cook said he just forgot what went in my order. I live 15 minutes away I wasn’t going back again. I drive there because it used to be worth it. Now it’s not even worth it if it was a block away from me. The cook said he has nothing to do with what happened last week with my messed up order. They quit and he’s a new one and he forgot to put all the ingredients in my order. You can definitely taste the quality in the food went down. It’s not made the same. I asked the person there if I can talk to the owner, Mario, and she said Mario is never there but she would have him call me and he never did. Everyone was very unhelpful and made it seem like I was an issue. They used to be on top of it and everything was excellent. Now it’s a mess! If you want to try it, check all your food...

Was going home from basketball runs with my friends, and I decided to stop by the Kroozin gas station to take pictures of my car, when I stumbled upon this gem of a taco place. I ordered 3 Asada Tacos and 2 Al Pastors. That’s always my go to order when I order street tacos even back when I was living in LA. But these tacos were incredible, I probably havent looked around enough yet to find hidden gems in houston, considering i’ve lived here for a year, but these tacos were HITTIN!, the tortillas were fresh off the grill, and the meat was fresh too, the Al Pastor had an amazing marinate taste to it, not too sweet but not bland either. Literally one of the best al pastors I’ve had in a minute. Amazing service too! I wasn’t able to catch their names, but the 2 guys running at night time around 11PM, awesome guys! First time trying this place. Saw the reviews and thought I’d give it a shot. My family and I order about $50 bucks worth of food, the prices weren’t too good bad, staff was nice but definitely not a good place to eat. Let’s start off by saying we waited 40 mins to get our food, then we finally get our food and thought maybe is inside. We get home and the tacos had no cilantro, no napkins, no limes, and no hot sauce!? Tacos were sooo greasy, no flavor whatsoever, ramen birria had no flavor and piled in grease. I have never been to a place where I have been totally unsatisfied with everything. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to any of my family and friends.
