1 star for the quality control of their hats and for their customer service. Expensive hat should be perfect when it arrives in a perfect box (un-damaged by UPS). But the brim looked like someone sat on one side. I then called them. I was greeted by a man that apparently thought I was calling at the wrong time. Their published hours are 10-5 and I called at 10:20am. He stated they weren't really open yet but he'd do me the favor of taking my name and having Mary call me. He also wanted to blame it on the shipper when I stated 3 times that the box is in perfect condition so then he blamed the humidity or, maybe, it's still the fault of shipping. He also stated that 2 and sometimes 3 people look at the hats before shipping them, as though they couldn't do anything wrong. My answer to that was, well someone didn't do it properly and he replied welllll maybe sometimes people are human. I didn't hear from Mary until after 3pm and it took a phone call, texts, and follow up texts to get her response that she would issue a return label through email. I never received the email. I called the next morning at 10:40 and the same man answered. Upon telling him that Mary was supposed to email me a label and didn't, he went into a speech about Mary won't be in until later morning because she has a doctor's appointment. I cut him off and stated I was talking about yesterday. He replied well, she had good intentions, she'll email you later sir. Later came at 12:45 when she called and asked if an email was ok or should she mail me a return label. We covered this yesterday, an email would be great. She said she'd send it. At 3:30 still no email so I texted her and that became a whole new hassle. She emailed me then but it was a tracking number and Not a return label and barcode that I need to drop it at a UPS store! So then I had to contact her again and she finally sent the right label. Omg at this point!
This has been a truly, truly disappointing experience. I'm sad about it and don't even Want this hat at this point. I don't spend frivolous money on myself but this was inheritance money I didn't plan on and wanted to do something nice for myself that I would otherwise never consider spending so much money on. I wanted to have something lasting rather than spending it All on debt so I set this much aside for myself. With such indignant attitudes towards their customers and lack of caring about their quality control, not to mention my impression of how they don't care what time their employees bother showing up at work, their pristine online presence is misleading. With this amount of hassle and the fact that Mary's phone number says Fitness Lifestyle on the caller ID, I was really questioning if this is a legitimate hat store in Texas or a duplicated website and phone numbers for China.
It took a week for UPS to return deliver the hat and Miller never gave me the courtesy of letting me know it arrived and that they'd be working on a new hat. I then sent them an email a week after that to inquire about an update. Then another week after that I received the new replacement hat. The first hat fit perfect but the replacement feels tight and a little uncomfortable. I probably just won't wear it much since it's not comfortable, remain disappointed, and I don't have the energy to contact them and go through anymore hassle with this lousy company. Their quality and quality control is horrible. What an absolute waste of $250 and hours and hours of my time and energy!

I thought, excellent quality at a great price from what looks to be a family run store which I'd love to support. As I live in Washington State, I was unable to go in person to meet the folks at Miller and buy this hat. I decided to order it online using Miller's hat sizing guide, it arrived home very quickly and in great condition. The packaging held up strong through its journey and when I opened the box I felt like I'd bought it in person. An excellent quality hat that I am confident will last for years as a hat that I will wear daily. The fit of it was just slightly too snug and with a phone call to Miller, I was reassured that it will form to my head with a small amount of steaming from a tea kettle. Read moreWanted to buy one of their hats, but wanted some kind of assurance that I would be getting a 'Long Oval' shape, and that would retain it's shape...Their return policy does not cover this issue if it fails to hold the long oval shape...I e-mailed my question to Millers' 'Contact us' along with my phone number, and have heard back nothing from them....To me this is not good customer service....In talking by phone to the sales people I was told that Miller hats come in a round shape, and if requested, they would 'block' it to a long oval shape....For everyone that knows anything about felt hats, you know that it is just a matter of a very short time that the hat will return to the round shape and be very uncomfortable to wear....I would have thought Miller Hats would have at least returned my e-mail or called me, as $244.00 is a lot of money to waste on a hat that will not fit properly.....very disappointed in Millers customer...
