My boyfriend bought me a ring while on our trip to Mexico that was very special to me. It is a very thin, fragile silver halo ring with small crystals all down each side and a tanzanite center stone. I didnât realize how much silver could bend if youâre not careful, so one day I look down and notice my ring is bent in, completely misshapen, and a crystal was missing. The top halo part was smashed down on one side and it looked terrible. My heart sank! I went into Diamond Exchange in Kingsport where a lady rudely said âWhat is this âsupposedâ to be? Tanzanite?â as if she were implying it was fake (itâs not!) She took it back to ask the jeweler if they could fix it. She comes back and says they wonât work on it and thereâs ânothingâ they could do. I was literally in tears driving home when I passed Johnsonâs Jewelers and made a u-turn. I went in and Matt Johnson greeted me and was super friendly and sympathetic about my ring. He looked at it for about 10 seconds before telling me he could fix it! I was SO happy. It took a few weeks, but it was so worth it, and at a very reasonable price too. Not only did he fix it, but he made it look even better than it did before it was bent. Prior to this, I had it resized at Diamond Exchange in Johnson City and was not happy with the way my ring was returned to me. After getting it back from Diamond Exchange in JC, my ring had dark spots all over it and some of the crystalâs brackets were open. Matt at Johnsonâs Jewelers replaced the crystal, reshaped the ring, and re-polished it until it looked brand new! I definitely recommend Johnsonâs Jewelers and I would take my jewelry there again in a heartbeat. Not only was it great quality work, but they also understood the value of...
Read moreI very rarely leave reviews but felt it necessary this time. 1 star is the lowest allowable rating or I would have given a 0. First the store attendant was over an hour late today. After he finally arrived I went in to inquire about installing a battery in my watch. The attendant said it would take an hour. I politely asked why he couldnât do it while I was there as there was no one else in the store. At that point he made it clear he was done talking to me with no further explanation. He was ruder than any sales attendant I had ever experienced in my 71 years of life. I have worked in small business and the business would not survive if we treated customers like he did.
Edit The ownerâs response was a feeble attempt to cover up inappropriate customer service. He was rude and he lied in his reply. He never offered any explanation as to why he couldnât help me. He simply dismissed me. He also claimed That I argued which is false. A classy way for him to have responded would involve admitting he was wrong...
Read moreMy fiancé left two Invicta, Jason Taylor Edition, watches for Johnson's jewelers to replace the crystal faces and repair the movements. Every time we walked in to inquire about them, the store was completely empty of jewelry, and the owner said that every piece was locked in a safe at a bank...that he was simply in the jewelry store but had no jewelry on site. (Then why are you in the store and open if you do not have anything for customers.) He never called us to let us have updates, and has stopped returning calls. Whenever we stop by he conveniently never has them on site. We left him our contact info to call us as soon as they are on-site because we wanted to pick them up (regardless of the fact he said he was still waiting on parts more than 8 months later and he has not made any attempt to contact us). At this point, we're pretty sure he's sold them and question if this is a legit business at all. My attorney will be making calls to the...
