We had moved from New York to Tennessee two weeks before....we saw Zak's as we were driving and stopped in . We were looking for a small table to fit our kitchen .We met Lynn when we walked in. We loved the store, but Lynn made the visit infinitely better!...She took the time to walk us all over the store, showing us different sets ...we found a beautiful cutting board island which was perfect...Lynn found four chairs to accent the table perfectly...we have been to many furniture stores before....it was always the same thing....the salesperson would hover over us trying to get us to buy what THEY wanted....Lynn patiently guided us thru this huge store....what impressed me is that she knew exactly when to walk away to give my wife and myself time to discuss the items we were looking at...never once did she pressure us or hover over us! She was confident in the product she was selling. That is a tremendous asset in any associate. She even returned with bottled water for my wife...thanks to Lynn we had a wonderful experience, even returning two days later to buy some art work pieces we had seen on our previous visit. Your store carries some wonderful furniture, but Lynn was the finishing touch that will make us return as we purchase new furniture to complete our home....We will look for her everytime. My husband and I had gone to several local furnitures in Bristol , Va. We were disappointed by customer service , lack of inventory and the cost to assemble and delivery , not good for a small table. So We looked up Zak’s . Never heard of this store or been there either. We were greeted by this sweet young lady named Robbie ! She was so patient with us and she was very knowledgeable about the products. He personally was so refreshing . She was smiling the whole time we talked to her. She let us look around the huge store to let decide for ourselves what we wanted and liked.With the other stores we had been in , it was as if , their sales people didn’t know much about what they had on hand or prices . It was frustrating. But then we came to Zaks and it felt like the way furniture stores use to be. Helpful employees , happy to help you and knowledgeable about prices , products and inventory!!! I love this store. I loved how beautifully decorated it was and it just made you feel , welcoming ! Thank you Robbie , we will be back and we will ask for you!! PS, they are having a great Memorial Day...

Misty was excellent, especially helping my Mom with her purchase.

Update: delivery is the issue. My 86 year old mother is sleeping on her couch! We were told delivery would be 7 to 10 days. She had her old bed removed based on that. They told her last week that mattress would be in on Friday the 3rd. They told me this morning it would be the 10th. The person I talked to this morning was a bit rude. I contacted Misty by text. She said she would contact the manufacturer. She just told my Mother, the mattress would be in on Wednesday with delivery on Friday. What's wrong with delivery on Thursday!! Under the circumstances?

So now my updated review: don't buy unless every piece is available (we were told they were before payment was completed. She even agreed to twin XL when Misty told her she didn't have the frame for regular twin adjustable bed. She said they had both the bedframe with massager and the mattress in stock). Then, after payment in full - no financing- they told her mattress would be in within 7 to 10 days. Ensure complete order is available. Arrange to pick it...
