I can think of little shopping ventures more awkward than mattress shopping! In fact, I loathe the experience so much that I've put it off for almost two years. I had initially planned to buy one of the new mattress in a box that would deliver to my home with a long trial period, but that felt risky instead of awkward. Gathering stoic composure and my sister for support, I walked through the doors of Denver Mattress in Joplin, MO. I was welcomed to the store my Manager Les, but otherwise left alone until I needed help. Les knows mattresses! In less than an hour, and with no awkwardness as I lay prone on different mattresses, my sister beside me, I had chosen a mattress and adjustable frame but wanted to give thought to the major purchase for a day. With ease, Les jotted down the details of what I had selected and, no pressure, said "it was nice meeting you and hope to see you back." Three days later, I made the purchase and, to my pleasant surprise, found a thank you note from Les in my mailbox penned after my first visit.

Denver Mattress has a solid selection of mattress types and price points, but is not overwhelming or duplicative. Ditto the frame options. They have a generous warranty and trial period and both were explained clearly and without coercion. Again with no pressure, I was offered various "bundle" packages and my "no thanks" was met with an easy "ok."

All aspects of this typically horrid but critical shopping experience were transformed at Denver Mattress in Joplin.

We went into the Denver mattress store just to “kill some time”. Liam Gamez welcomed us, asking us what brought us in. Liam gave us the rundown, some pillows, pillow covers, and told us to check out some mattresses. He left us alone and came over to check on us occasionally. We were relaxing on a Purple mattress and asked him some questions about them. It was a no pressure conversation and Liam made a good impression. He was nice, professional, polite, and knowledgeable. He explained the different types of Purple mattresses and asked if we ever had an adjustable base. We hadn’t, so he gave us a demonstration. At that point, we were sold. Still, without any pressure, he priced some items for us and left us alone for a bit. We noticed the Purple pillows and tried them out. They were great. When Liam came back, we were ready to buy. We really enjoyed doing our business with Liam. We hope he continues to thrive and have a nice, long career...

We have been searching for pillows for years but couldn't find anything we really liked until we me Les Davenport. Les is a true champion who's knowledge and expertise far exceeds the competition and not just here in Joplin, MO but in California.

Not one person ever took us through the steps Les did to recognized what would be the perfect fit for us. He had me do an exercise to measure the comfort level while laying on my side which has never been done with us before.

We must have gone through at least 10+ pillows before hit huckleberry. Girlfriend remembered to ask about flat bottom pillows and Les was on point and found us exactly what we needed.
