I went into this store after having my phone stolen. Jay listened to my situation patiently, as I was in Alaska by myself with no friends ,family, no Jacket, slippers on my feet as my luggage was lost and credit cards stolen with phone now gone. I was a hot mess. I did have a small amount of cash, although Jay calmed me down, saying not to worry, he can help me as an AT&T Customer. Jay was able to get me a great inexpensive pre-paid flip phone to use, while making a claim for my stolen phone, that would be shipped within two days to the store. Jay's kindness and knowledge about what I should do while I was frantic, made the whole situation go from OMG, I am going to be so stuck to "Everything is going to be alright." I also had an I-phone. For over 4 months I had the number suspended because I put a code in it and forgot what that code was. Ethan then explained to me exactly the steps to take to not only fix the Apple phone after many trips to Apple and AT&T from home with NO ANSWERS as to what to do. Jay is an amazing AT&T Rep. I have never had service as good as what Jay gave me. Ethen's knowledge of the products he sells is rare. Trust me, He is the only Rep. who knew exactly what I should do. I recommend going to see Jay or Ethan at the only AT&T store in Juneau Alaska. I will be purchasing my I-pad from Jay before I leave. THANK YOU JAY, YOU DESERVE A RAISE, SAME FOR ETHAN. 5 Star Service. Kindest Regards, Sharolyn Doherty FT...
Read moreI was an AT&T customer for over 15 years and was only recently forced to close my account. Service in the Auke Bay area went terrible early last year before the transmitter problems. I tried to get answers from a few employees but was told they were aware of issues but didn't know if or when anything would be done about it. This was almost a year after it first started. I was told a portable internet box might work. I bought this equipment and added it as a service to my account. It of course suffered from the same issues the phone service had. I tried contacting the manager of this branch and left my contact with multiple employees who assured they would respond but nothing came. I reluctantly closed my account with both services and was promised a $57.75 refund for the non-working internet service. I just got back to town after several weeks working and after checking my bank statement I not only hadn't gotten the refund but have been subsequently charged two more times for a shut down account. It's very frustrating. I was just looking for some reasonible answers and a little courtesy but got nothing like it and was overcharged for my trouble. Please make this right. I can be contacted with a respond to this...
Read moreI had to get a replacement SIM, but had to return as it wouldn't work properly once I left the store.
I would recommend customers who are looking to purchase a mobile to do your own research, to be a knowledgeable consume and buy a GSM factory unlocked phone that would work with AT&T, T-mobile from Amazon or eBay. For an Apple iphone, SE 128GB for the best value or 8 256GB for better value, not the latest nor bleeding edge technology. For Android, look for one with Android One, free of bloatware, i.e. Motorola Moto X4 64GB 4GB RAM, it's an older model now but supports the frequencies used by AT&T.
Buying a mobile from AT&T would generally be a locked phone, meaning it would only work on their network unless you request that it be unlocked after you have service with them for one year. Unlocked phones allow you to use any GSM network. Using AT&T is more expensive, it is also the largest coverage network, usually competent service. Inquire about the prepaid plans online. One of their plans offers 8GB of data each month provided you prepaid up front...
