Verizon — Local services in Juneau

We had AT&T service and needed to replace two failing phones. I went there first and the one employee in the store seemed like he wasn't interested in our business and couldn't take the time to look to see if there were any. From the moment I walked in to Verizon, I had a really good feeling. Not only did the staff respond quickly to work with us but the manager took the time to find the best prices available AND we ended up with awesome devices that will suit our lifestyle very well. Add to this great experience was the offer to help with the setup on each device and continued support as needed. This is over and above any service we have ever received elsewhere. Uneducated employees who are trained only to rip you off by script. I had a simple question about whether a device would work for a specific purpose and only got an unenthusiastic description about what the device is, and whether that will be all for me today. I bought it to test it, discovered it doesn't work with my car, went to return it same day I bought it and they wanted to charge a restocking fee.

Also, the device was $35 in store and $7 on Amazon. It's becoming more obvious with every visit that Verizon's business model is to confuse and rip us off. It'd be nice if they could at least have employees who don't make us feel like we're being ripped off by...

Imagine a verizon store that can't upgrade a phone! Can it be true? 5 hours of my life (and $410 dollars later) I will never get back the time I wasted sitting in this store proved this was indeed the case. This store has no technical no how. Phil Gonzales is the manager, he left an employee to try to fix phone that he sold me and he didn't even set it up. I walked in with a working phone and left with a not working phone. They gave me written instructions on how a "real" verizon store could finish the upgrade...so I am off to Seattle to find a real verizon store. Wish me luck. DO NOT BUY A PHONE IN...
