Ricardo is a STAND UP GUY!! Having recently made the transition into Cyber Security, I consider my knowledge of computers to be above average. Whenever a friend or a family members computer crashes, I am the IT guy they call. Recently, while experimenting with my own computer, I experienced, for the first time, a system error that I wasn't able fix. To make things even more difficult, the error wasn't even letting me completely reset my computer to it's original settings. I was getting flustered which caused me to make a rookie mistake and overlook some basic troubleshooting methods, and after days of trying I decided to call a tech so I called Ricardo. Minutes into our first phone conversation I had a good feeling about him, he was very personable and he even offered to come by my house to pick up the computer that same day, which was very convenient given my work schedule. He was able quickly diagnose the issue and restore my computer without deleting any programs or files and he returned my computer to me the exact way I had it before it crashed and with all my programs reinstalled. Amazing. He was very personable and responsive to calls and text messages, he also kept me updated during the process. As an IT guy myself, I was very impressed with his level of service and knowledge. I manage an estate on Jupiter Island. Although we’ve had Wi-Fi for years, it’s been plagued by large deadspots, frustrating drops, and terribly slow speeds. Our IT guys blamed it on the layout, size and construction of the house; it’s a large older home with extremely thick walls reinforced with steel and concrete. Over the years our IT guys tried different equipment, configurations, you name it, but none of it ever lived up to their promises. Last year they proposed completely redoing the entire system, something we’ve let them do a couple of times in the past to no avail. Tired of getting the runaround, instead of following our IT guy’s advice yet again, I called Ricardo to find out if he knew of a good IT guy (Ricardo has worked on my computer for years, and done a great job). I was genuinely surprised to find out that Ricardo does networking. So I asked him for an estimate. He devised a plan that was not only half the cost of the proposal from our long time IT guys, but it also eliminated the need for a lot of equipment and unsightly wires. Ricardo’s system has been in place now for almost a year. Not only has it eliminated the deadspots and drops completely, the speed is at least 3 - 4x what it was in the past! I chose Ricardo Durand of J-Town Computer Solutions based on the online reviews I read about him, and all of the glowing reviews were very accurate! He was incredibly responsive and quick in turnaround time and was able to recover ALL of my data after my laptop crashed (as it had been warning me for months it was going to do). This was huge as I had stupidly not backed up my data recently. Can't tell you what stress relief Ricardo provided to me.

He clearly knows what he is doing and his rates were very reasonable. He even just followed up with me on the phone, accessing my computer remotely to help me with another minor problem I had that was not at all related to the repair he did. On top of all of this, he is very personable and easy to talk to, meeting me where I was in my knowledge (or lack thereof) of computers.
