I actually like this place a lot. They always have really great prices. I got a few products that I really like. I believe red bull roots hash might be one of the better carts I have tried. I see people all the time on Reddit hyping up Eastside Alchemy ,and Element. I think the cart I got from Red Bull Roots was better then those and cheaper. Y'all seem to like feedback on products so I figured I would give this feedback. I I need to try the Clout Kings and Lightsky Farms carts. Those products seem to catch the most buzz on Reddit. Think I've only ever gotten three products from there that I didn't love. Don't get me wrong they all gave me a buzz. The Strawana from MKX wasn't for me. That was my own fault. I hate banana flavor. An some how it didn't dawn on me that it was in the name. 😂😂😂 The crude boys Alaskan Thunder Fuck gives a decent buzz. It taste like roach spray though. I actually really enjoyed the buzz itself especially playing video games. An they are cheap. I mean it's definitely no live resin ,or hash. If you like that super chemically roach spray taste you might like it. An if don't care about tasting or looking for something cheap then you might like it pretty well. I did get the only product there this time that I just do not like. The D.A.V.E. Cheech and Chong Carts are kinda gross. I also notice places on my trip up seem to have them close to the holidays mostly. I guess it's probably some sort of gimmick cart. It taste like dawn dish soap. It's disgusting tasting. I also felt like I had to puff on it quite a few times to catch a buzz from it. I got it because I had there Dank-O Stank flower before. The flower was great. The moon drop cart from them is so 🗑️. I should had researched it on Reddit before I bought it instead of after. I am sure budtenders don't have an opportunity to try every product. I do wish someone would had been like have you ever had one of these before. An maybe explained they struggle adding a decent tasting flavor. I know that's really a kinda unfair expectation. Just because taste is subjective. I just can't imagine any person likes the taste of Dawn Dish Soap. In all fairness I can't really put it on the bud tender. I just stated that's what I wanted instead of asking if they was any good. Anyways this place is quickly became one of my favorite dispensaries. They seem to carry a majority of the products I really like. An when I do get something I don't like which is probably going to happen to you regardless of where you go. Especially if you like to constantly try things you never had before. So when I do get something I don't like normally it's my fault. I do want to reiterate a highly suggest not getting the Dave Cheech and Chong Carts. I felt like I'm pretty down to earth and understand. An I don't have much of an issue taking accountability. In most cases I just grab the flavor that wasn't for me but other people will love it. I genuinely believe there's no way possible a person could like those disgusting D.A.V.E cart things. I was very disappointed in it. Next time I'll either ask my bdtender or look at...

I never ended up getting a replacement baller bucket…

8/29/22 UPDATE: After seeing the response from the owner, I went back to the Refinery to see what they could do about the strawberries and cream 10g baller bucket. After showing the owner's response to the person working the front desk, she called the manager over. The manager told me that the product mentioned above was highly sought after. Many people come in specifically for that product. The strawberries and cream were among the worst products I've ever purchased from the dispensary. I cannot consume it; it hurts my lungs. I now know to stay away from anything that has a similar smell.

The manager offered me a pre-roll as compensation for the unusable product I purchased. He told me that it would be illegal for him to do anything more than that. I told him I would happily pay some money for something more than a pre-roll so that it wouldn't be considered illegal. He didn't want to do anything more than offer that free pre-roll. After that, he offered to give me a 10% discount on another baller bucket. I would've had to spend another $90, plus tax. A total of over $190 for one 10g baller bucket essentially because the first baller bucket is unusable. Let me say that I'm not one to try and pull one over on someone. I would've much rather enjoyed a product I buy than go through a process like this. The other products I purchased from the Refinery were all great! It was only the strawberries and cream 10g baller bucket that I had an issue with.

After this experience, considering all of the other dispensaries in the area, I don't think I'll be going back to the Refinery. It was clear to me that I was not a priority in the eyes of the manager working that day. The lack of concern regarding my health and the issue at hand spoke volumes. I couldn't believe it. To tell me that so many other people like the product I was having an issue with... The other employees commented on the problem with the strawberries and cream 10g baller bucket.

Also, I will add that I was given a Michigrown apple fritter pre-roll as compensation for the unusable product I purchased. I'll add that they were giving away a free Michigrown apple fritter pre-roll with every purchase of a Michigrown eighth on that specific day.

I would be more than happy to speak to the owner about this. I attempted to speak with a manager,f and it really seemed as if he didn't care. I didn't want this experience to go this way. I would HAPPILY edit or make an updated review if something more is done about this. I expect that any company will stand behind its product.

8/27/22 - Stay away from the strawberries and cream 10g baller bucket. Just pick something else; please take my word for it. I should’ve listened to the warning...

I am a customer who drove 4 hours to go there, on the recommendation of a friend. At first, all seemed good. The weed itself was AMAZING! But that was it.

My wife and I were there somewhere around 2-3 in the afternoon. We had a bud tender named Grace (or that’s what she called herself, at least). She had a lot of scars on her arms, like she cuts herself. Just so you can be aware if you ever go there, you can identify her. Anyways, we were a very respectful couple of patrons, and engaged in small talk with her. I believe she learned that we were from out of state, and knew we weren’t going to see our product until we got home.

So it all started with pricing. My wife and I started a shopping cart online, to price out what we were going to get. She was getting one oz of fruit punch (tier 6), for 160. I was getting one oz of ice cream cake (tier 6), for 160. All together that was 320, and it showed 53 for tax. Bringing the total to about 375….we go in, and we are told as first customers, we would get 20 percent off. We thought “great!!”. Well, she tells us that she had to split our ounces, to halves, to apply the discount. She then rings up one ounce (as two halves) at like 84 dollars each half, after the discount. Then, she rings up the next ounce (as two halves) at 105 each half. All after the supposed 20% discount. So our projected total of 375 for two ounces, we paid more than that!!! WITH A 20% discount. Again, I believe she played us, because she knew we were out of state customers, and we told her we didn’t have google accounts to leave a review (which we didn’t. I created this account today, for this very review, because it gets far worse.) My wife asks her to break a twenty, and we proceed to leave her a 10 dollar tip for her services. Anyways, we drive the four hours home, and find that she only gave us one half of the fruit punch. We were an entire half short, which I feel, she did on purpose, looking back at the whole transaction, and her appearance/demeanor. It was a complete waste of a trip, and I will never shop at ANY Refinery location again. Anyways, if you go to Kalamazoo, watch out for a bud tender...
