For a small casino the staff here were not friendly. Except the security guard at the entrance on the side street tall African American man! He was very friendly, talkative and showed respect.. I went to the bathroom which was clean thank you for that! Me and my husband split up to use the bathrooms and I got lost, i know why it's small but i didn't realize there were so many floors. When i got to the second floor i was lost asked the security guard on that floor a question and he questioned my age which was weird because I definitely look older than 21, and just came from the bottom floor level and he just watched me walk up the stairs. Lol but he asked for my ID I told him my husband had it and he gave me the rudest stare. After going up and down the different floors looking for my husband and brother I found them at the guest services trying to get a player's card. As I was not there for the whole conversation I got there at the end. I guess it took 2 managers and an employee to help them get no where.. I guess because we have out of state IDs with our current address on them they wouldn't except it there as a form of identification for receiving a player's card which is weird because they are legal state issued driver's licenses.. my husband had his military id and that helped him. But because my brother and I had an Arizona driver's license with a Leavenworth address it wasn't acceptable. The older big white manager kept saying because it was federal.. but makes no sense and his explanation was unclear.. my husband felt like they vcd were being rude to my brother about the driver's license for no reason.. he said they made it seem like the driver license cards were not Authentic. They said we we could turn around and leave if we wanted too but no players card would be given. They said we can play machines without the players card. So it makes me wonder how would we have been paid if we won large with these identifications???. We definitely will not be going back here again.. There customer service deserves zero stars. It better off to spend your hard earned money else where...
Read moreA couple months ago, I went in there after being dropped off one night by a couple people i was with that i didnt really know. I was just put in a really potentially bad situation and I started to feel very uncomfortable and unsafe given the circumstances. So, i had them drop me off at the nearest place i knew was open, which was 7th street casino. As soon as i walked inside i found the nearest officer/security gaurd. First thing i said to them was my age, which was 20 at the time, and i told them a little bit about what happened and that i was in a bad situation with people i didnt know and i felt unsafe with them, so i had the driver drop me off there at the casino because it was the only place nearby that was open. I told the security gaurd that I did have a ride on its way to pick me up, but they were coming from olathe, so it was going to take approximately 20 minutes for them to arrive, so i asked if there was any way i could stand next to the door, which she was standing next to as well, and just wait for my ride to get there because i didn't feel safe waiting outside by myself at 3 in the morning in KC. So she called up to the head of security to make sure it was alright, and a few moments later, i am being told that they need me to vacate the premises. Which i totally understand the age thing, don't get me wrong, but how are you going to turn away someone who is obviously in distress and telling you they don't feel like they will be safe out by themselves in the middle of the night?? Especially in Kansas City. I understand that they have a job to do, but i am absolutely disgusted and upset that this was how i was treated when I arrived and...
Read moreWhere to start? This place is so dirty, hot, and disgusting I don’t know what to think. The elevator is slow and looks awful. Employees are rude and there appears to be a shortage of them as well. Long lines at the cashier (very lucky if you can find an open window without running from floor to floor) and ATMs are frequently out of order. The last time I was there the elevator didn’t work. Since there are three floors, I have no idea how people with mobility issues managed. It’s a terribly run down casino to begin with, but the ghetto upkeep lately is mind boggling. There are cigarette ashes everywhere, on the chairs, machines, floor, and all around the ATMs. I went from floor to floor trying to find an ATM or cashier counter that was open and finally gave up and left. I went to the Argosy! What a relief to go where employees and managers care. You would think 7st Casino would want to keep players at the slots playing but evidently not. This place is totally dysfunctional and should close for a week or two and clean up, retrain staff and get everything in working order - and then maintain. And 7st - please don’t respond by saying you’re sorry I had such an unsatisfactory experience. This was not an isolated incident. I’ve been to the casino enough to know it’s consistently not managed properly and you all know it. If you care about your patrons, show it. No talk, walk the walk! AND I have had problems while playing slots, pushed help button on the machine, and have NEVER received assistance from attendants. Repeat - NEVER!!!! They just didn’t pay attention and/or think it was...
