Got VIP tickets from a friend of mine who used to work with one of the fighters (in the photo below and yes he did 🏆 win and will continue to do so!) and it was fun. We were directly in front of the cage and the crowd was awesome. A fighter purposed on "stage" while another took the title from the (previous) champion and then gave an awesome super sweet shout-out to his soon-to-be son and wife!! Some were close fights and it was really, for me anyway, a stress-relieving good time. Plus all the adrenaline that I got from how pumped the crowd and fighters were was much needed. I think it would be appropriate for a family, kids too- at whichever appropriate age a parent wishes but what I mean is it is not like a blood bath or people acting crazy or drunk or anything too a. Other than some swear words, it's something different to enjoy with your fam.. especially those with younger and teen boys! As far as the building itself- the bar could of been better though the bartenders were awesome the selection was limited and there was no way to know what they even had. There was food but as with all theaters and the like- it's pricy. Had a large upper level that I think people can pay a fraction of the usual actual ticket cost and still be able to watch and have some fun on a budget. Lots of seating and clean. Appropriate staffing for the size of the crowd and security was cool, one security officer even complimented my shoes! Parking is not plentiful so good luck with that one! Lol 😆 Id go again. We then hit is 7th street casino cause it is right beside it across the street! Free $20 play!

Attended a graduation at this site yesterday and was extremely disappointed with how the crowds were handled and how poor the sound system was. The majority of the speakers could not be heard and the acoustics of the building let the crowd overpower the event. They have made some attempts to make the building handicap accessible however the steeply angled ramps are just a hazard. The building it self is beautifully historic but needs some love.

Good event had a great time!! Been along time since I've seen such a peaceful fun loving group of people. Event for Mexican culture, but everyone came out black, white, yellow, brown, race or color didn't matter. Everyone came together and not one bad attitude. The way it is supposed to be. Memorial hall was inviting and gracious, all the people were great on both sides. Cant express it enough!! Wonderful!

It is a large space to utilize; however, the seats are incredibly uncomfortable and very close together. You will be shoulder to shoulder unless you are super skinny. Your knees will be locked up by the seat in front of you. If you have back or knee issues, bring pain meds. The Ecco also makes it hard to hear clearly. Especially if there is any talking going on around you. Lastly, parking... parking is a nightmare! There really isn't anywhere to park. You end up parking in neighborhoods and walking forever to get to the Hall. You are tired and annoyed by the time you walk through the doors. When used for large gatherings, taking a bus is sometimes optional with a large group, this is better than trying to park and walk but you will have to wait at the end for everyone to get...

We go here regularly for KCRW roller derby bouts. The building is always clean and for the most part in good working order. There’s always ample seating and the seats are not overly crowded where you’re nearly sitting in the lap of the person next to you. Fair warning that this is an old building and both the ramps and stairs are fairly steep. That being said, it is an incredibly interesting building that is well worth the visit. Also, the bathroom facilities, for the most part, have plenty of separate facilities and can move people through...
