Prices somewhere between Aldi and HyVee.(closer to Aldi on most things). Good selection. Produce is always fresh, bakery and meat departments are good. Large selection of Hispanic foods with around 15% (probably more) of the shelf space stocked with imported Mexican products. Make sure to check out the $1 dollar isles while you're there. Friendly staff.
My biggest complaint is that their frequent shopper rewards system is always down. They have a different reason every week why it's down. I've been shopping with them for 4 months and it's worked maybe 25% of the time. They will gladly credit your account with the points you earned manually but you have to see the manager and then wait while he/she goes to their office to document the transaction. I suspect the process has been designed this way intentionally knowing that most people will not follow through to get the points which in turn saves the store from having to give away free groceries when the points are redeemed.
Overall, it's a good store though. I recommend...
Read moreThe manger of the meat department is one of the rudest people that I have ever came across. He basically ran me out of the meat dept. I forgot my glasses and was having a hard time seeing when he came out and told me to hurry up and make my decision that the cooler was down and he didn't want to lose any more meat. He pulled down the curtain and told me not to get in there anymore. Not even through the spaces between the curtain. There was not even a sign saying anything. Called the store when on the way home, the manger Beth was very apologetic and said she would take care of the matter. By the sounds of her voice maybe not the first caller of the day. Don't have to worry about me going back to that store ever again for one of their prices are outrageous especially for the type of...
Read moreIt wasn't a good experience at all. The checker of my line got caught up in a conversation with the woman in front of me, which I know from experience happens all the time. Its when he carried on that conversation for several minutes despite me waiting to be checked out. We made eye contact several times but to no avail. I have worked in the service industry for over a decade and I know that treating a customer as if they are invisible or unimportant is not good service. Additionally, none of the other checkers seemed fazed by it. After being ignored for what seemed like 5 minutes, I simply took my items to the next lane, checked out, and walked out of the grocery store at the same moment as the more important...
