Blue Parkway Sun Fresh — Local services in Kansas City

The security guards and some employees are mistreating their customers with "loss prevention" methods. The security guard makes it a point to follow me around the store. He will come stand at the end of the aisles and watch me as I am shopping. Employees are doing the same thing at times. The manager on duty and/or the security will come to the front of the register or behind me and watch me unload my basket and purchase my items. They also group up and walk towards the door and look directly into my basket as if something isn't supoosed to be in there. This location does not have designating sackers but employees have started to put my own groceries bags into my basket despite me being right there and trying to do it myself. Cashiers have questioned me about leaving items underneath my basket despite it being emptied completely before I pay. Even after I have emptied my basket, they keep asking me as if I wasn't answering honestly. I've been observing and experiencing this ridiculous behavior for about over a month now and they do not treat most customers this way. This is unacceptable despite the issues Sunfresh has had recently with store closures and theft. I have been a regular customer for years. This store is clean smells good. Friendly staff, but, the delli department needs to pay more attention to the hot table in the middle of the store just beyond the registers. When I arrived around 4pm, on 3/14/2019; the plastic and/or foam trays were melting making the food look bad. There were two plastic trays of ribs and several individual foam trays of chicken. I was going to buy an individual chicken but, past experience had taught me that the food will take on the melted taste of the tray which is not good. I even saw apiece of chicken that had fallen between the racks and was literally cooking it and the foam tray. Either turn the heat down on that table or replace the food every hour or so. Also the delli department needs to keep the hot tables infront of the delli department looking better too. I saw old food mixed with new food and it looked rather junky in there as if no one cares anymore about how the food looks. When it comes to saleing food how it looks is everything. That is called presentation. It was most likely was close to closing time but that is no excuse for allowing the food to look like no one cares. PRICES ARE EXTREMELY HIGH!. THEY ARE CHEATING THE PEOPLE WHO COME HERE. I saw a box of cereal for $8.79. THE PEOPLE WHO SHOP HERE NEED TO PROTEST THIS STORE. They're price gauging because there's no other stores in the area. If you want cash back you have to pay $5 for every $20 you want to get back. If you can go somewhere else you should and save money. I took a lot of pictures and I plan to do something about this. I'd rather they go out of business and have new owners that aren't cheating the people. This is absolutely shameful. They serve a mostly black population. $12 for a pack Fiora toilet paper. It's less than $6 bucks at Price Chopper for the same pack. Its always on sale for less. They're Ridiculously over priced. To think this was the store my grandmother shopped at when she received her social security for over 10 yrs. This pisses me off. With the prices here your money won't go very far. The owners should be ashamed. Let's see if they have any shame or compassion for the people they serve. I will also contact all news organizations. They need to bring the prices down or we need a store that serves the people fairly.
