I visited World Market yesterday. While I used to be quite fond of this store, I decided to visit in order to find new and interesting items to try. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that many of the food items had already expired or were about to expire within the next week or two.
I believe that the store managers should make an effort to regularly inspect the items throughout the store to ensure that expired items are removed. On several occasions, I found myself picking up items and realizing that I could not purchase them due to their imminent expiration or because they had already passed their expiration date.

Read moreI used to really like World Market but I think over the years this company has made very little changes to what they offer, I think it will soon become a company of the past. Most of the stuff they carry are like generic, over priced home furnishing items you can buy online for a lot less. The international food section I used to love has also gone down hill. For the most part, it's pasta, coffee and cookies from other countries. I can buy the same or even better Lavazza or Kicking Horse coffee on Amazon... What's the point of coming here anymore. Read moreThis store is just awful. I placed an order for an item they had in stock (30) of them to be exact. The clerk told me that had arrived on a Wednesday was still not on the shelf the following Wednesday. One employee stood at the front of the store for over an hour talking to the cashier and refused to help me find the item. Just told me that we have 14 pallets needing to be unloaded and continued to stand there. I ordered it online and they canceled the order even though they had 30 in stock.i explained the item was for my grandfather with stage 4 cancer. They just looked at me. Shame on them.
