Maybe it is because I didn't bring my own hair for my appointment and was a little late but I had a terrible experience. I asked for a wash and trim which requires my hair to be straight and she seemed to be in a hurry while doing it. My hair was not straightened properly and inches were chopped off of my hair. I've had my hair trimmed before and I know how it's supposed to be done and this was not done correctly! It looked like I had a bowl cut when she was done. After the trim was done, she handed me the comb so I can part my own hair... I did comment earlier when she did part my hair that it wasn't even but she insisted that it was. I have a widows peak and it's right smack in the middle of my forehead but her part was a whole inch off to the left. Catherine washed and chopped my hair while geinie (not sure about the spelling) did my feed in braids. I showed her the picture and sadly it was not executed the way I wanted it to. On my left side, the braid was braided right above to my ear while on the other side it was way above my ear so my braids are lopsided. They were not done tight in any way shape or form and she had to re do one side and I honestly didn't see the difference. In order to lay my already straightened hair flat, she applied a ton of gel making my hair curly all over again and proceeded to tuck my hair under the braid which didn't work out. Realizing that my hair went back to curly and made the braid look looser, she added more and more gel and stuck me under the dryer for it to dry, which it didn't. I ended up going home and wiping all the gel off. I mentioned using wax in my hair, because 1. It works better than dollar store gel and 2. it would keep my hair straight. But she continued to use the gel. I had so many fly aways that she didn't notice until I pointed them out. and when I got home, I still had to cut some. I was told that I shouldn't have even paid but I understand people are working to feed their families and I guess they honestly thought they did a good job because I kept my mouth shut. They're very nice people and I wish I were writing about a different experience but I will NOT...

Scheduled an appointment with Angela on a particular day and she asked if I would be willing to come the next day, and I agreed. I went into the salon the next day as agreed and when I walked in the door they could barely even greet me...I had to say hello twice before they would even look up to say anything. As a potentially new client to salon, this rubbed me the wrong way, but I let it go. Angela finally came over after 15 mins to ask what I needed and to also mention she had two other clients but would work me around them. I wasn't exactly sure why I needed to be worked around her other clients when I scheduled my appointment and was already on the books. I sat there an entire hour and finally had had enough and left! It's absolutely ridiculous that my appointment was for 2pm and I was still sitting there at 3 waiting. It was disrespectful of my time and I'll never go back. Which is a shame because they are literally located around the corner from me, but I'll drive 40 miles for a timely stylist who knows how to at least greet clients when they walk through the door, before I go back there.

Honestly I have passed by this place several times over the course of many years and finally decided to try them. There clearly was a reason why I was never inclined to go before.

Also, if my last minute request was the cause of me having to wait an hour, the professional thing to do is to advise the client that the wait would be extended and let the client determine if they want to wait 2-3 hours...

Second time customer and now life time customer So let me just start by saying Catherine is the BOMB !!!!!! 💣 I am highly emotional even writing this review! She is not only professional but she takes great pride in her work and made sure my styles are always to my liking. She has had to go above and beyond on my hair styles because I have a special case where my hair has been damaged since my youth by someone who did not know what they were doing and it has been such a struggle growing it back. Catherine styles me to where it covered my imperfections and protected the area to allow it to grow and when I took down my last style she did it DEFINITELY grew!!!! I was so elated!!! This woman is a miracle worker for me and my hair and situation that I will always and only use her from now on. Her salon space is private and she respects you as a person so if you need a private styling she will be sure it is one on one and make you as comfortable as possible in her salon space !!! She knows exactly what to do to give you the style that best fits you! I love going to her she has very good people skills and it always feels like I’m going to visit a friend when I see her! I thank you because money can’t by the happiness I feel! She matched my desired styles and this last one was EVEN better than I was expecting it to be!!!
