Spice Korner — Restaurant in Texas

Very disappointing service! I called ahead of time to ask how long it would take for a takeout order so we could plan accordingly. He told me 25 mins max. So after deciding the order with my family, I called back to place our take out order and again confirmed that it would be ready in 25-30 minutes, he said again no more than 25 minutes. I let my husband know and he went to pick up the food. We finally got it more than an hour after placing the order! I would not be writing a review if they had at least been apologetic, but apart from taking over an hour the manager or whoever was so incredibly rude and aggressive. Yelling that people didn’t show up to work and he’s busy and it’s not his fault - okay, but it wasn’t our fault either - if you couldn’t handle the order, you should have said you can’t take it. Or said it’ll take an hour the multiple times I asked. OR just said, sorry it took so long! I’m sorry, but you need to learn how to speak to your customers. If something is an error on your part and you can’t figure out (after being told 10 times) what order someone is there to pick up and are super late on filling that order - don’t turn around and yell at your customers. Nice halal place to have breakfast or brunch. Food is not hot spicy but lovely and aromatic. We had brunch and it was good. We ordered keema and that was yummy too. One thing i would say is that they should cut back o. The usage of cooking oil. Literally it is dripping with oil. Friends have been going here for awhile so we decided to go. Staff is loud but helpful. I would suggest them to listen to the customers first, what they want and then reply. Same name food maybe made differently in other countries. Place is clean but they don’t clean the tables when a customer leave. The bus boy seems very tired. Single Bathroom for women and men- I personally do not like that. The floor was wet and they had a small hideout in the small bathroom where they kept all the cleaning stuff !!! Never saw this before. I would come here again for lunch or dinner to try that out. Our first visit to Spice Korner for breakfast was absolutely delightful! This halal restaurant impressed us with its authentic flavors and thoughtful service. We enjoyed their Halwa Puri, featuring soft, delicious Puris and perfectly balanced halwa, as well as their omelette served with flaky Lacha Paratha.
