So one day over the summer of these covid times, I was walking in Katy mills mall with nothing to do and the owner stop me outside and said come in and try some of this food. I thought to my self I have nothing to loose so why not, and I did. So the first thing he say to me is this is " REAL MEXICAN FOOD " not TEX MEX. I have live in TX for 10 years + and I can't tell you how many times I have heard that line from a place that serve Mexican food. So I told him what I was wanting and what I was looking for. He said this is what we have that fits what you are looking for. I said ok great I will have that. So the food came out. Time frame I would say under 15 min. normal time not to fast not to slow. Normal time for a sit down place.
The FOOD. This is the only Restaurant that I have came across that is REAL AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD. The last time I tasted food like this was when I was in the US NAVY 15 years ago and I went down to MEXICO. This is NOT TEX MEX. This is REAL MEXICAN FOOD. The beans was black, the rice was light green, the meat had this taste/flavor that was not over powering but was just right. it was not spicy so I ask for a spicy sauce. He ask do you want it to be mild, or hot. I said just a little bit hot not to spicy where it burns my mouth. He came back with a sauce that was hot but it was just right. I ask him what is in this sauce " Serrano Pepper " that is in our mild, our HOT has Habanero in it. He then ask is it to hot for you. I said no, just keep the WATER COMING. The prices of the food here is a little bit higher then what you would pay from a TEX MEX place but to be honest it is NOT TEX MEX. The meal that I had and still get cost me $20.00. Yes it might be a little bit to high for some but that is what I get. They have a FULL MENU, and a FULL KITCHEN, I just get the 1 thing off of the menu that I like, but there prices are " MALL PRICES " keep this in mind. I have been coming here since the summer of 2020 and I come twice a month. I love this place, and I can't find any other place that serves food like this that is a restaurant. If this place had it own building where it was a stand alone place not part of the mall, then I can see this place being a HUGE CHAINE with more then 1 store. The FOOD is takes me back to the times I was eating taco's on a beach down in Mexico when I was in the NAVY. This is a...
Read moreI didn’t have a good experience at this restaurant. In the beginning the service seemed to be good, but went downhill upon me asking for a replacement meal. I had ordered the enchilada’s with green sauce & they were terrible. Never in my life have I asked a restaurant could I replace my meal for something else because it was inedible. I had only took 2 bites of it, but I just couldn’t do it. I know what a good enchilada is supposed to taste like, but this wasn’t it. I told the manager that I wanted to take this order back & get something else. He asked me why I didn’t like it & told me this isn’t a Tex-Mex place this is authentic Mexican food. I told him it just didn’t taste good, the chicken & the sauce it didn’t taste right (I was very nice about it). After telling him why I didn’t like it he asked me did I wanna take it to go. I was shocked because I had just told him I didn’t want it at all. So I made an order for something else & from this moment forward we were not acknowledged from him nor his staff. You could tell he was intentionally avoiding our table (he was the person who took our order to begin with). When we checked out he charged us for half of price for the enchiladas although I had only taken 2 bites. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. I’ve had amazing authentic Mexican food & this place wasn’t good at all to me. Even the replacement wasn’t all that. We spent $70+ & I wish we would’ve spent that elsewhere considering...
Read moreNestled in Richmond, Ferso’s Mexican Cuisine delivers an authentic Mexican dining experience with a welcoming ambiance and delicious food. On our recent visit, we enjoyed their veggie and chicken enchiladas, while our little one had nuggets and fries. To top it off, we tried their mocktails, which turned out to be a surprising highlight of the meal.
The veggie enchiladas were packed with fresh, well-seasoned vegetables, wrapped in soft tortillas, and smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce. The chicken enchiladas were just as satisfying, featuring tender, juicy chicken with a perfect balance of spices. Both dishes came with rice and beans, making for a hearty and comforting meal.
For the kid’s meal, the chicken nuggets and fries were crispy, golden, and well-cooked—a great option for little ones who prefer familiar flavors.
A delightful surprise was Ferso’s mocktails, which were refreshing and expertly crafted. Whether fruity and tropical or citrusy and zesty, they complemented the meal beautifully, offering a great non-alcoholic option for those looking to enjoy a flavorful drink.
The service was warm and attentive, and the restaurant’s atmosphere made it a great spot for a relaxed family meal. Ferso’s Mexican Cuisine is definitely a place we’ll be returning to for both the food and the...
