I have been a customer for 6 years (with 4 vehicles) but this visit will be my very last. After my oil change, my beige cloth seats had oil on them. I pointed it out and they attempted to clean it but Iāll have the added expense of buying my own products to do a proper job. Secondly, they attempted to open behind my glove box to get to a filter out but couldnāt. While I donāt have a problem with that, they couldnāt assemble the parts together to fit properly. So now I have a gap on the side of my glovebox. They couldnāt fix that either. Run people run! Iād rather drive further to have peace of mind. Update: My husband insisted I return to them to have them clean my seats further. It was a lot better but we will still have to do our own cleaning to get it to our standard. The glove box couldnāt be changed as I was told it is supposed to be like that.
The oil marks on my seats was the last straw. I will unfortunately take my business elsewhere.
Update: we went to Jiffy Lube in Kaufman for our next oil change. The picture below is of the filter Jiffy Lube removed. My guess is that since Valvoline Express had such trouble putting a filter in below the glove box area, they just stuffed it in. Iām so happy we have an alternative place to go to in...

A couple of hours later I reached the glove compartment to put in my invoice and the compartment just fell off . I knew then that when they checked the cabin filter they didnāt properly put it back on and didnāt bother to tell me it was broken. I spent 30 minutes putting the compartment back on which would have been fine if they at least told me they couldnāt put it back on . When I called the manager to let him know my concern he sounded like a smart a** first time saying the procedure they follow when something like that happens and assuming I was lying or exaggerating he kept saying āIF my technicians did it ā later his excuse was the weight of the compartment couldāve caused it . Guess what my compartment is actually empty since I donāt like to keep anything in my car for security purposes . I noticed then he wasnāt going to help . All I asked was for them to be more careful or at least let the customer know something came of loose and they couldnāt fix it , thatās it I wasnāt even mad . My wife took her car in on Friday for an oil change and on Saturday we found where the skid plate/ cover on the undercarriage of the car was hanging. I saw where the plastic clips had been broken and placed back in the factory holes that were just hanging there. So we go back first thing on Monday for the staff to tell us they can āzip tieā it and when asked why they canāt replace the plastic clips they broke, they had us pull into the bay. As soon as we turn the car off and get out, the tech under the car in the pit yells āI remember this car, the clips were broken when it came inā. I highly doubt with all the cars in and out of there that you remember the exact car brought in a few days later but ok. If the clips were broken when it came in, then why was the skid plate/ cover not hanging before? All I wanted was for you to replace the plastic clips you broke and take care of your customers.
