Let me just start with, At one time I loved this place and could spend hours in this store! Now, I will not go back! Not sure if they changed management or what, but my last 4 trips to this store have been nothing but miserable! I am in the middle of remodeling my house and they have been mixing a special color of Clark and Kinsington ceiling paint color for me a quart or a gallon at a time as they got in stock! I went in yesterday 10-5-2020 because online they shoes to have a gallon of the ceiling paint in stock. They didn’t have any, so while in the store I was just going to put an order in for 5 gallons anyway they could get it have them mix it in the color they have been mixing for me for 5 months, when it came in. When the kid working the paint counter went to have the manager order it, she informed me that they would no longer do this for me! I explained that I was in the middle of painting my bathroom ceiling and could I just get at least a quart to finish the one room! She said NOPE! I asked her if she had suggestions and again she said NOPE! It’s not a base and we won’t mix it! Really, what would you suggest I do? Her response, “I don’t know what you are going to do but we won’t mix it!” This is not the first time I have witnessed her being hateful to customers! But it will be my last! I’ve shopped there for 25yrs for various things Home, Farm, Helping others through our Church Mt Olive Baptist Scurry, Tx. We are so very Blessed to have our Ace Hardware not just because I usually can find what I need but more so because they are folks like us so they understand more about us and our needs! Pricing some things are usually about 3/4 or double price at a larger store but usually I need it now either I need to get the task completed in a timely manner! Ace Hardware gave us the only one they had on display without a box. The next day, September 3rd, we made the cuts on logs and the saw died after 3 cuts. When we brought it back the manager and employee who assisted us refused to accept our return of the saw. The employee who handed the phone for me to talk to the manager also made a very inappropriate remarks. She said, “ you better not have COVID” as she handed me the phone to talk to the manager.
