A one star rating is actually too high, more like a .50 star would be appropriate. First time to visit. Walked up to order and noticed a young boy maybe 10 yrs old preparing food for to go orders. Not sure thats legal at all. Wasn't greeted by anyone, noticed a hispanic male sitting at a table with a schedule talking loudly to someone, assuming he is a manager maybe? Another hispanic young man comes to the counter and answers the phone ringing instead of acknowledging we were there. I said this is our first time here, do we sit down and order or ? He said you order here and we bring it to you. We ordered the 2 entre special for $26, after drinks and tax it was $35, and they wanted a tip on the receipt, I chise no tip because I don't tip before I get served, who does that? We sat down, soup came and it was terrible, wonton soup is usually clear broth with green onions and fried strips. It was so dark you couldn't see to the bottom and tasted like straight onion soup. Then my entre comes, Sesame Chicken and fried rice. Had a fresh broccoli garnish, which was still frozen! I bit into it and was so surprised I spit it out. Carried it to the counter and said, this is still frozen? They said nothing just took it and walked away. Went back to table, looked at the rice and was like, where is the peas, carrots, onions and egg? It was literally white rice covered in a soy like sauce to change its color with a tiny bit of egg if you searched. Was sticky and no taste at all. The chicken looked like nuggets dipped in a sauce and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Egg rolls were fried too much also and were spring rolls, not egg rolls! Not impressed and very disappointing hoping a better restaurant actually filled this location since so many have tried and failed here. I guess Panda is the only place for oriental food in...
Read moreWe spent a week at Hotel Campo Marzio while visiting Vicenza. The hotel location is perfect for exploring the surrounding towns via train, as it's only a 5 minute walk to the station. There are several nice cafes and restaurants close by, along with a nice bookstore. Bus stops are by the train station. It is a 10 minute walk to the main Piazza, and church, in the old town, which has many shops and restaurants. The hotel staff were all very friendly and super helpful with suggestions for things to etc. Our room (109) was a "suite" which had a bedroom area (no door) and a small living room area with a couch (which we used as a second bed) and a cental bathroom which had separate doors to enter from each side. We had nice views of the park from our room. The room (and hotel) was very clean and in great condition, and had an elegant feel to it. We would definitely stay here on our next...
Read moreWe initially held off on trying this establishment due to difficulties reaching them by phone when they first opened. I can confirm that the phone ordering system has since improved significantly. However, our recent experience was disappointing. The orange chicken, consumed by both myself and my son, appeared undercooked, was excessively breaded, and lacked a pleasant flavor; I even observed one piece that was unusually large. We also ordered the Mongolian beef, which was difficult to eat due to its excessively fatty meat. Overall, the quality of the food was poor. Additionally, the egg drop soup had an unusual taste. The only item we found enjoyable were the chicken egg rolls. Unfortunately, both my son and I experienced illness after consuming the meal. Given these issues, particularly the undercooked chicken and subsequent illness, we will not...
