I called the company to make an appointment for a hair trim and scalp treatment prior to my wedding (so yes this was a big deal to me). The lady on the phone gave me some dates to choose from, and as someone who is very busy throughout the week I chose a Sunday at noon. As a man with 3B curly hair and a dry scalp, it is difficult to find quality service from people experienced with my hair type, which makes me more willing to drive farther than normal for a haircut (in this case about 35 minutes from my house). On the day before my appointment I received a verification text saying that my appointment was coming up to which I answered the prompt with "YES" to confirm my appointment. On the day of, I drove the 35 minutes to the Keller location and spent about 10 minutes driving around the parking lot trying to find the store since their address is incorrectly marked on the maps (I tried calling with no answer). When I did find it, I parked and tried to enter, but the door was locked and a sign was on the door stating that starting in July (or something like that) they would be closed on Sundays... Are you kidding me?! They booked me for Sunday on the phone and sent me a confirmation text the day prior, and they're closed?? over an hour of driving only to be disappointed by an establishment that does not know how to organize a schedule and lacks professionalism. This was supposed to my first experience here - well you can count me out from now on, you've lost a customer in me...

I feel obligated to warn anyone considering a haircut at 18|8—proceed with caution. I made the brave decision to book with Vonne, and let me tell you, the results were TOO GOOD.
The drive home was the first sign of trouble. I could barely focus on the road, constantly catching glimpses of my own reflection in the rearview mirror. It was a legitimate safety hazard. By the time I pulled into my driveway, I was honestly surprised I made it—half the trip was spent marveling at the sheer perfection of my haircut.
And then… the real problems started. I’m a happily married man, but suddenly I was fending off waves of unsolicited attention. Beautiful women left and right, giving me looks I wasn’t prepared for. I get it—I would’ve been mesmerized, too—but this was not the kind of traffic I was expecting. My wife? Let’s just say she was less than thrilled with the attention.
To make matters worse, my guy friends wouldn’t stop complimenting me. “Looking sharp,” they’d say. “Dashing,” they called me. I could see the jealousy forming. It was starting to feel like a problem.
So, if you’re thinking about getting a cut at 18|8, just know what you’re getting into. You will look incredible. You will struggle to keep your eyes on the road. Your friends will envy you. Women will pursue you. And you may find yourself unintentionally becoming the main character everywhere you go.

Read moreI have used 18/8's for going on 3 years, and this particular location for almost 2 years. After today, I will never be using them again. After being 10 minutes late I was informed that they would only have time for a touch up, and this touch up would be done by a stylist other than the one I scheduled. (After I had specifically moved an appointment to get the other stylist.) This is the second time they have done this, the first after being 6 minutes late half a year ago. They charge way too much money to be doing this to a long-term and consistent customer. I discussed this with person at the front desk and her attitude was basically "sorry to see you go, but that is policy". She couldn't even state the policy correctly. She is said it was a 15 minute cutoff, and then when I informed her that I was not 15 minutes late, she said that the policy was "10-15 minutes". For charging between $40-$60 for a basic haircut (+tip - which I have always left in the past), I would expect more understanding when someone is held up in traffic after leaving work early in order to make it on time.
I would recommend you take your business...
