Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience yesterday at this location. There was an altercation where one of the employees quite clearly had ignored a woman who had been there prior to my arrival. The employee, a man, asked to help me and asked what I needed and I advised I had arrived for my exam appointment. At this time, the woman who was there before me spoke up and advised that the man had been sitting watching her and never asked to assist her in any way. The man simply stared at her and dismissed her concerns. He said he thought she was just looking at the glasses and trying them on. She pointed out that as an employee it was his job to help her if she was indeed looking for glasses. The man continued to dismiss her concerns to the point where the woman asked to speak to the manager. She asked repeatedly. He finally brought over another woman employee. At this point the customer woman brought up the fact that it was clear the man had not helped her because she was black and pointed out that he had helped two white women and ignored her. The "manager woman" stated that she couldn't take sides because she didn't see what happened. I then chimed in with the fact that the woman had been there before me. At this point, the "manager woman" just started repeating "what can we do to move forward" while the woman explained that there needed to be acknowledgment of what occurred- that the employee had ignored her. The "manager woman" also with a dismissive attitude told the employee just to say "yes" to what the woman was saying. The situation continued to escalate as the "manager woman" then admitted she wasn't a manager and there were no managers or supervisors in the store and if there "was a fire they would all have to run from the building." The customer woman then said she had been there to purchase two glasses. The entire situation was handled horribly by the employees and I no longer felt comfortable giving my business or supporting their actions. I have been going to this site for approximately 3 years and there are always new doctors and new employees. I didn't get to visit with the doctor because I was so disappointed in the way the entire situation was handled. They completely invalidated the woman's feelings and failed to take any responsibility for their awful customer service. I am extremely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a negative experience at this Target Optical yesterday when I accidentally showed up for my appointment on time but at the wrong Target because they are both in US1. I immediately called the 7800 SW 104 St and explained that I was the 11:15 am customer and that I was at the Dadeland Mall location and she nicely said no problem come on over. So far so good! Right? The problem started when I get to the parking lot of the right Target which is ~15 minutes away at 11:31 am and another employee calls me asking where I am and I told her I am right there by then literally coming into the store. She sounded hesitant but said ok come in. When I arrived there were three employees. They said that the next patient was already there and the doctor could not see me because they have a 15 minute late window and I was past it. They did not tell me about the 15 minute window when I was at the wrong location, they did not ask how far I was either. They made me go all the way there to then say the doctor could not see me. I was ok with waiting for the current appointment to go before me so I asked but the doctor told the representative that this would run into her lunch time and they asked me again to come another day. Very poor customer service and no flexibility to accommodate a situation like mine which is very common since the employee at the initial location said that it happens all the time since both...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here last year. I got prescribed contacts with astigmatism for the first time in my life, contacts wearer for 10 years now. I said wow, I donāt have problems with my vision but okay. I trust what doctors say, especially an optometrist. I tried on the contacts and felt disoriented but was told I would adjust. I understand, they are very different. I made another appointment and went back to pick up my boxes and to tell them my complaint that I see blurry in them, I canāt read signs further away (which is why I have contacts). They said youāll adjust, they looked at them in my eye and said everything is good. I wore them for another month and walked in to speak to someone again and they said it takes adjusting to, and Iāll get used to them. Well, I went to another eye doctor and without me even saying anything they said you shouldnāt be wearing astigmatism contacts. I got my original lenses back and I can finally see clearly again. Almost cried from being able to see again. Absolutely horrible, seems your optometrists have the medical gaslighting down!! I should report yall for real, canāt imagine what damage that caused to my vision.
PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS WHEN THEY SAY THEY CANNOT SEE. I WENT ALMOST 2 YEARS WITH...
