UPDATE: Communication has not been great in regards to the 3 items that we purchased. I've had to reach out to inquire on the estimated time of arrival for each of the items we ordered. We were quoted 3-6 months on the chairs. After 5 months with no communication, I reached out AGAIN to inquire. We were told that one chair is in (we were never contacted about it. It was just sitting in the warehouse) and the other chair/ottoman won't be ready till mid July. I understand that there can be delays with the manufacturer but why wasn't that communicated with us? They asked us if we would like to set up delivery for the chair that been sitting in the warehouse but then we are paying 2 delivery fees. Good for Klingman's I suppose. We had such a great experience ordering the items I'm VERY disappointed with how it seems to be turning out. I feel as if it was all about the sale at this point.
I must say furniture shopping is an interesting experience. I found that the higher end shops are quick to judge you on your appearance. I encountered that at a few different places and I thought Klingman's was going to be no different. When we first walked in we were looking at a couch that was near 2 employees. Not one of them greeted us and we were very interested in the couch we were looking at. We decided to take a quick look around before we left. That's when Michelle B. came over. Michelle was AMAZING!! I had been struggling to find a couch that fit in our new place. Michelle went above and beyond to help us. She showed us around a few different pieces and was very helpful in getting prices for us.Then she went one step further by offering to help us figure out our design for the new house. We picked out a couple of pieces that we really liked. We came back the next day and she had different rugs, fabrics and color palettes to choose from. She was so thorough and incredibly helpful as I was lost on how to design our new space.I cannot recommend Michelle enough. What I didnāt care for was the communication. That is why I wouldnāt give 5 stars. I bought this table back in mid September and had to call several times. Until I someone finally connected me to a manager because no one knew what was going on with the table. I understand things get backordered, or production slows down. But a simple phone call, is decent.
I called again the week of thanksgiving and they said it was in and they would need like two days to prepare it.
Makes me wonder if I didnāt call would have I had before thanksgiving for our dinner?
Like I said, the gentleman who sold it to me Jim, amazing, quality AMAZING.
But Iām sorry, this business could use some training in calling customers back just to see where their order is. I donāt have a tracking number online where I can check stuff or anything. So that is very frustrating.
