Not a fan of this store. I was shopping and went in yesterday for the perfume I've worn for years (Tease), and while looking at the large size bottles on the wall, I noticed some gift boxes stacked on a display behind me. I like to buy the lotion and the perfume of my scent and sometimes the gift sets are a better buy. I found one for tease and one for a new scent that I had tested when I first got over by the wall, a scent called "Bare." So I grabbed both gift sets and then meandered further around the display to see if they had any other lines. (My mom uses Heavenly and I thought I might grab one for her also). As I strolled over to the other side of the wall, a saleswoman stepped over and said "Excuse me, you can't buy those..." I said "What?" And she said "What you have in your hands, they're not for sale. Nope." And started to reach out for me. I handed them over extremely confused and she took them saying "Yeah, not for sale...sorry mama" Then she randomly handed me back the small gift set of the "Bare" scent but would not allow me to take the "Tease" set? I was so confused. Ended up buying a full sized bottle of Tease along with the lotion, in addition to the gift set that I was "allowed" to buy. My only complaint is this... I get that it is a business intended to make money, and that sales are only for a certain time frame. But if you're going to have products out for a limited time, have your employees remove those displays after the store has closed and then when you open the next day, whatever is out is what is available to buy. This was extremely uncomfortable/embarrassing for myself as well as the employee who had to literally take merchandise out of my hands. It's unnecessary and should be handled...
Read moreWent into VS twice recently, the first and second visits both had very helpful very friendly service; the store was quite busy ('tis the season) but they made a point of checking in with me every couple of minutes to see if I needed extra assistance even though they appeared to be short staffed. (Which is a problem that any retail worker would/should be sympathetic to.) As a product VS bras can be very comfortable, but ONLY if you get the right size. On my first visit I was measured, tried on a sample, and it seemed to fit amazingly so I went shopping. Ended up buying something I thought would fit as soon as I got a bra extender (which VS had unfortunately sold out of at the time due to Black Friday) but I was wrong. The cup size - the one for which I was measured - turned out to be too big and caused a slew of problems for me personally, so I returned the bras. On my second visit I brought an extender with me and tried over 10 bras in slightly different sizes and styles; eventually finding some that I really liked and were actually comfortable. I'm overall pleased with my experience but I wanted to post a review to get this point across : TRY SIZES SIMILAR TO WHAT YOU ARE MEASURED AT & BRING AN EXTENDER WITH YOU - Measure yourself ahead of time as well, if you have a 38 band size they don't carry anything bigger than 38DDD in store (at least at this location) for sale. (They have samples of some bigger sizes to...
Read moreThe bra specialist and the young lady that helped me on the floor were amazing! They were very professional and were extremely helpful. The problem occurred when I went to purchase my items. There were two cashiers at the cash/wrap stand waiting on customers, both of which kept going back out on the sales floor and returning with additional/different items. After waiting about 5 minutes and still not being waited on, one of the cashiers asked the other if they should call for back-up to which she replied, "I think we're OK." I continued waiting and a cashier from across the store announced that she was able to help customers at her counter. I stepped out of line (I was now the first one still waiting) and proceeded to the available cashier only to have the last person in line rush in front of me to the cashier. I have now lost my place in a very long line and waited another 5 minutes before another cashier showed up. I can understand waiting in line at Christmas. I understand that this was the semi-annual sale, but quite frankly, the store was not that busy and your cashiers should be helping the NEXT person in line, not the one who gets there first. I will probably never shop in the Woodland store again. I consider customer service at this store unacceptable and will shop elsewhere...
