Keyport Italian Mini Market — Local services in Keyport

I hate that I have to write this considering I've been to this location on so many occasions and have really enjoyed everything I've ever had there..... But this review is strictly for their cannolis. As a fellow Italian who's had many of cannoli in her lifetime, the one's they are selling here are really bad..... I bought 10 mini for $20 and the ricotta filling was saturated with so much water that the shells became soggy. The filling had no flavor at all either. Super bland. I'm not sure who is making their cannoli filling there but they definitely need a new recipe because...

This place used to be great when the previous owners had it. Since new owners taking over it's been a mess. The attitude thàt you get when there was the lady that worked next door would be in there and she was rude and nasty to people. The food is always stale tasting. The owner Al is a head case. Then rumors that there was rodents and bugs crawling around in the showcase where food is. To only just down with no excuse for a month. The people of keyport didn't like this. I love the Keyport Italian Mini Market! Good Italian Food made by good people! Love stopping in for an Espresso or Coffee, many italian pastries & cookies and all imported specialty foods as well as home made (in house) dishes ie...eggplant parm, chicken (many ways), meatballs, good deli meats, and cheeses, and lots of frozen specialty items - like Raviolis, etc... chips, drinks, snacks.
