I was expecting much more of the IT Engineer program than what I received. The 10 month program comes to about $18k and this includes one time vouchers to take your A+ exam , Network + etc you do also get some neat kits to use but nothing that can't be bought on your own. The school caters to the military , I was reminded of this many times not only by how the administration spoke to me in regards to funding but also by the students who very frequently stated they were only there to collect a paycheck they had no intention of pursuing a career in the field. The first two months were great I was learning and grasping all the information provided by the first instructor but unfortunately he got sick with COVID and was unable to continue the course for a few weeks shortly after we had a different instructor sub in but it was not an easy transition some of the students tried to keep up and others just stopped showing up all together. I tried to continue to attend because I really wanted this to work out but eventually with the help of other professionals in the field I was advised that for the knowledge I was gaining the $18k for the 10 months was very overpriced they provided me the tools and instructions to continue my education online still getting certified along the way for way less money. I attended the school for roughly 2.5 months and paid out of pocket about $2k and took out student loans for basically a life lesson and that is to research and trust the reviews you see online. This is not a reputable school in my opinion and would strongly suggest for anyone to do their research before enrolling. The problem goes beyond the instructors and into the administration as I reached out multiple times after withdrawing in order to know whether I owed them any money or if I could at least receive one of the vouchers for the first course I completed I have yet to hear back from them, I also never received any documentation of what I exactly paid for or that I was withdrawn from their program. Do better CyberTex! They are individuals who are truly expecting you to provide them the chance of a...
Read moreIf you are looking for a program that is hands on and reliable, I would definitely go to cybertex! Everything the school has to offer is amazing, between the hands on learning in the classroom and the instructors teaching, you will get the experience you need. My experience from start to finish has been nothing but meaningful and educational. The instructors Mrs. Hines and Ms. Morales have all the materials you need to become a great MA, whether that is in the lab, front desk setting, or even with your professionalism. Cybertex also offers a phenomenal externship process within the program. The lady in charge of the extern program is the wonderful Mrs. Ludy, she has made the extern process very organized and informational. My process through the externship was more than I ever expected! She gives you everything you need to go out into the medical field. You can get anything you need help with whether that be your resume, your skills, or even finding a job. Where I was placed for my externship was the absolute best learning experience I could have ever gotten. They helped really work on my skills in the lab and helped with the computer systems within the medical office. I was fortunate enough to be hired during my externship and I couldn’t be more grateful! If you are every worried about your other job, your family, or other important things in your life, Cybertex is the one to help you with your busy schedules. That way you can still get the career you deserve and want. I couldn’t recommend another program enough or be more thankful for what Cybertex...
Read moreDid the MA program a while back. Program was fine, the instructors at the time were ok. The issue lies with clinicals and placement. Got sent to a site that did review/reach any of the skills you learn in school and didn’t have a lead MA or any MA for that matter it was just the student from your school who came prior to you, teaching you how to run the clinic. So it’s just the blind leading the blind. The clinical site in question was dual practice, ran by a husband and wife. Only the husband worked with the MA while the wife had a whole different specialty. After some weeks at clinicals the preceptor and the school have a progress meeting. The preceptor for this site was apparently the wife but she never worked or interacts with the medical assistants as she does mental health services… she made comments and lies to the school a lot of which were micro aggressions towards black women… when I spoke with my teacher he made me sign a paper saying that I “understood”. Why would a school allow someone who never works or even acknowledges their students to speak on them? Why would a school send students to a clinical site that they KNOW has no real medical assistants or even worse… doesn’t allow them to practice their skills? Upon bringing these concerns to school I was pathetically told by ANOTHER black woman at the school that I best finish my clinicals at this site or I’d be dropped from the program. I would not recommend this overpriced school. There are much nicer, cheaper, faster paced options...
