Not a good experience today! Arrived at noon with my daughter and 4 grandchildren for a 1220 showing. No one was the ticket scan counter, and the scanners were not working. I saw someone in the back and motioned, and was told to go to the employees where you pay for concessions. There were two young ladies sitting at the registers, both on their phones and drinking sodas. When the young lady scanned my QR code for the tickets purchased on line, I said I would like to get 2 large popcorn and 4 small drinks. She told me that I could go to the other counter (they sit next to each other) for that. I said "that seems silly. You can't do it here? " She replied she could but it still needed to be done separately. I said ok I'll just do it here. She made a tongue clicking sound and rolled her eyes at me. I asked her if there was a problem, and she looked at me and said " SHOULD THERE BE A PROBLEM?". I said no, but you made a face at me. She replied was "I made a face at you? " and then looking at her coworker, asked "did I make a face at her?". The coworker looked at her phone and said nothing. I imagine she didn't want to get involved. I let it go at that, but when I'm spending $120 at the movies, I don't expect to feel like I'm inconveniencing the employee to stop looking at her phone and move her drink so that I can check my tickets and purchase snacks. Not to mention the attitude and way I was spoken to was totally unacceptable. When did this all become okay? They have a seat at the register, they're on their phones, and have drinks, This young lady obviously didn't like being interrupted to do what she was...
Read moreI'm in a powered wheelchair and I have to say this is my favorite. Horizon's staff is friendly and helpful. While in a wheelchair I only have one hand available I need the other hand to drive the wheelchair. Thank God for cup holders. That being said sometimes I need a little help. I don't even need to ask. The staff always ask if they can help if they see that I could use an extra hand. Plus the bathroom is the best handicap friendly and clean bathroom I've ever been in.
I can't say how the comfy their seating is since I bring my own. I can say they have three seating areas. Starting from back to front the first section area is for their powered seating which is reserved seating only. The next section is for handicap. They have space for wheelchairs and companion seating so people have a place to sit right next to the person in their wheelchair. You can reserve a space or a space and companion(s) seat(s) or just come in. I never reserve a space unless I buy tickets online. This space is laid out so there's two companion seats then two Wheelchair spots. If memory serves me correctly they have a total of six companion seats and six wheelchair spots. The last area is general stadium style seating and no reservations are needed. I don't think you can reserve a seat in the general stadium seating. The picture and sound quality is very good. Very easy to see the entire screen while sitting in a comfortable position from the handicap and reserved seating. I have no idea what it's like from the general seating area. I don't think it would be enjoyable sitting in the first row from the...
Read moreThe theater is clean the staff friendly and polite. I usually have a hard time with parking it’s hard to find a spot and at certain times it’s very hard to find a spot that’s not far away. I don’t like how they do the seating twice I had accidentally sat in someone’s else’s seat and they had to ask me to move. It’s too confusing and the rows and seats are not easily found there is no row number just numbers on the seats you get a brief second to look at it on the computer screen when you purchase tickets and then have to hunt for your seat and then someone might be sitting in your seat and you have to ask them to move. One time a lady had her popcorn on my seat and had to ask her to move it so I could sit down. I have watched this happen to others. If you don’t want to pay more for a reclining seat you have to sit up too close in front and look up and strain your neck. Usually people get a front seat and after every one comes in they go find an empty recliner. Another problem with this is if you get a seat next to someone that is making noise or stinks or texting the whole movie you can’t change to another seat unless you go way up front and then you waste your money paying for the better seat. Last time I went to regal and sat where I wanted even tho Fallston cinemas is...
