My daughter and I visited the Fallston location on a late Tuesday afternoon/early evening. We walked in the door and off to the right, inside the entrance is an employee area that was sectioned off that had signs for "employees only". We walked by the area, as several employees were standing in the area talking or checking the computer screen.
We weren't sure if we were supposed to check in with them, or if they were carry out only, because there was no clear signage as far as we could see and no visible host/hostess stand. No one acknowledged us or greeted us when we walked in, so we stood and waited a few minutes. Employees kept walking by, in and out of the kitchen, and the employees up by the door said nothing. We looked back at them confused as we had no idea where the host stand was to check in, especially since the area at the front was cordoned off. We were the only two people standing, waiting in the entrance area, so it's not like there was anyone else waiting for tables or checking in.
Finally I went and asked where we were supposed to check in for a table and they told us "here." I told them it was a bit confusing because the area was cordoned off and marked with signs "employees only". They could tell I was irritated and their answer seemed very snarky and unpleasant. This didn't start our visit well at all. I explained to the young lady showing us to our seats that it was confusing and frustrating since no one said anything to us when we walked in, even though 2-3 of them clearly saw us standing in the entrance area waiting, obviously looking for someone to seat us.
Thankfully, our waitress asked how we were and I told her of the confusion at the entrance and she asked if anyone greeted us upon coming inside. I told her no, and she apologized that they did not greet us and about the confusion and asked if she wanted me to get the manager. Our waitress Lisa was very friendly, courteous and exceptional. She refilled drinks and rolls and tended to our table without any issues. Food was a little too salty, but overall good.
Please make a clear host/hostess stand so there is no confusion. Having the check in area cordoned off by posts with ribbon labeled "Employees only" where you would have to speak loudly across 4 feet is not ideal in any way, especially considering it...
Read moreFirst of all, the service was awesome. Second, I can't tell you the last time I ordered a steak (or burger) from ANYWHERE, and it was actually cooked how I ordered it.... I always ask for medium, and it's always well done, especially at Outback.... Until yesterday. My meal was absolutely perfect. I haven't finished a meal in a restaurant in quite some time, I usually take half home, but I finished it yesterday. I got the sirloin and grilled shrimp, with mashed potatoes/gravy, and broccoli/carrots, and it was all perfect. My aunt and my mother said their food was great as well, chicken tender meal, and a salad with chicken tenders respectively. My mom also said her, I believe it was, raspberry lemonade was good and she's not a fan of raspberry. There's a reason for my typing all of this.... I absolutely HATE the Texas Roadhouse in White Marsh. Their music is always way too loud, and I like loud music, but not when I'm trying to have a conversation while dining with friends/family. Every single time I go to the White Marsh location (which I won't anymore) my food is terrible. I love my steak and shrimp combo, but my steak is ALWAYS way past well done, when I ask for medium. I'm not the type to send things back over miniscule issues, but I did ONCE, and was met with a nasty attitude and another well done steak. I can't imagine how burnt it would be for someone asking for their steak well done. Three separate times, my mother had a different chicken based dish, the chicken was pink in the middle. She sent hers back the first time, foodborne illness and all, and was met with an attitude, so she just didn't eat the chicken the last two times. I'm not even going to go into their service, or lack thereof. That being said, I'm always iffy when someone suggests a Texas Roadhouse. But yesterday? Yesterday definitely restored some faith in the chain. If you want Texas Roadhouse (and the awesome rolls/butter) GO TO...
Read moreSo after waiting by the door after being told they can take us right now for few minutes I should of just left.. it's not like the cleaned the floor underneath table guessing they just pushed old food there and it's fine. It just keeps getting better after being took to our table you know where they had old food on the floor. The other customers receipt was there. we wasn't told where the menu where at and the waiter was asking us party of 3 what we like to eat and we let him know we didn't get any menu he stated the other person was supposed to let us know. Ok great not a problem. (After) that then we starting eating the bread but had no silverware, no plates again was told the other person didn't do it. Ok fine. Then the waiter comes ask us what we like to eat we get a hamburger simple right just mayo and Pickle on 1, the other the same and add bacon and the other smokehouse style you know feeling little good.... we all said no Lettuce tomato or onions just thinking we'll have mayonnaise and Pickle on the side it would be nice. They were the most dry and disgusting things ever. Not to mention the smokehouse came with onions after asking him to take it off. The manager comes and didn't even help the situation what services you guys are providing here how to make things worse. There's to much stuff happening in the world and really all people want is a moment to enjoy something nice. This is very disappointing and sad. All we wanted was a good clean environment to relax and talk about our day and didn't mind spending little here and there.
What gets me they all huddle up as we where leaving and all look at us like we were wrong. So was they threatening us, being disrespectful? people aren't really mentally stable now days.
You guys have...
