This is one of the worst chipotle locations I've been to. The drive up window cannot function. They have no way of knowing when you arrive. Rather than ask cars who may arrive early (or more likely food is not ready) to pull to the side, they let the line back up.
To avoid sitting in my car and waiting an indeterminate time for someone to hand me an order which would take minutes in person, tonight I decided to order pick up in store. I thought I'd cracked the code! If they can't be bothered to man the drive up, they must have a thriving in-store apparatus. Well, this is not the case. Inside nearly every customer was there for pick up, save two diners. This was in addition to a line of 3 cars at the window of doom. The pick up shelves were not being stocked with ready orders, instead these were held "in the back" for undisclosed reasons. While I waited at the pick up area, the person manning the register appeared to be having a discussion with a customer. The staff did not believe that she had placed an order, despite the customer showing her the app. Eventually the staff agreed to "check in the back" where, lo and behold, it was being prepped. Why the cashier was incredulous at this possibility, I don't know.
Whiling away the minutes outside of the pick up time (I didn't arrive early), the cashier swept the floors before then making a meal for a walk in customer. Not exactly appetizing without a glove change or hand wash. Finally another staff member decided to ask me the name for my order. Apparently it had been ready for some time. I thanked him and left. At home, the printed sticker on the lid was accurate, but inside was not chicken but steak. The food tasted fine but the experience was bad.
This is the third time I've tried this location. As other reviewers noted, there are systemic issues here. I don't blame the staff, this situation reeks of management who don't care enough about their business or product to spend the time to train people or put systems in place. If this is a franchise store, the franchise owner should be ashamed at the state of their investment. If it's corporate...
Read moreWell, this was our first experience visiting this Fallston location of Chipotle. I have read all of the bad reviews and was reluctant to visit this location but very happy that we decided to place an order. We ordered two burritos online. We were given a pick up time and the option to pick up at a drive thru window which made it so much easier. No crowds, no waiting, just drive to a side window and pick up your order. The guy at the window was very kind and handed us our bag. Our burritos were made to order and they tasted great. Ingredients were fresh, meats cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back to this location and hopeful to have the same positive experience again in the future. We will not go to any other Chipotle locations in Harford County as the service is awful and the food disappointing. For as much as Chipotle advertises themselves as a superior place to eat, they really need better oversight with their locations because it's dragging their reputation down and people will stop patronizing and go elsewhere. Chipotle is not cheap either but the Ingredients used is what is supposed to be superior to competitors. But, that won't be enough to keep customers when service is awful and the food not cooked properly. Nice job Fallston Chipotle, we will...
Read moreThis is THE worst Chipotle. We have been here 4 times since they opened and each time is worse than the next! Today, took the cake and prompted this review. I ordered using the app. Using the app, I wasn’t able to add shredded cheese because it indicated “item not available.” Hmmm they can’t possibly be out of cheese. Well, yes, they are out of cheese. I was about 15 from the store. Upon arrival, there is a nice sign to greet you stating “online orders only due to staffing” with one door locked. It’s empty inside. Had me wondering if they closed. Pull open the door and I only saw one employee inside. He didn’t greet me until I spoke and told him that I was picking up an order. The food was not ready. My order was very simple. We waited inside about 10 more minutes for the food. Something told me to check my bag but I was I a hurry. Got home and opened the bag and one of my orders was completely wrong (ordered 3 tacos and they made a salad with toppings). My daughter wouldn’t eat it. Too far to pick up something else. During my last visit, I was waited on by the manager and she seemed bothered to be there. If you can avoid this Chipotle, you should. Eat at the Perry Hall or Bel Air locations instead. It will be a miracle of this...
