Every year for the past 3 years my husband and I along with a group of friends have done benefit rodeos the first year was make a wish and the last 2 years has been for Texas Outdoor C.H.I.L.D we visit many businesses asking for donations weather it me food drinks or a money donation every little bit helps us get the things we need to out on these rodeos and help these terminally ill kids this year we visited all the local brookshires buna silsbee ect... none of them was willing to help with anything then on a pass through kirbyville we stopped by the brookshires there and met Joe Howell we talked to him and told him what we were doing and he jumped all over it willing to help with anything we needed so we asked if it was possible if they could donate boudain and he said absolutely when we went to pick up the boudain it was there just like he said it would be but it was not just one case it was 3 and we found out that Mr.Howell and his wife had paid for it out of pocket... That shows us he is a man of his word and no matter what it took he was willing to help us help these kids.... all that being said I will be driving from evadale to kirbyville to shop at the kirbyville store even though silsbee is 5 miles from my house and I have to pass by the buna location to go to kirbyville.... Mr.Howell is a big hearted man and truly cares about the kids in this area and that means more than anything to all the people that help put on these rodeos and the ones that use the money to take these babies on these hunts and...
Read moreMy original review was only two stars due to the fact I believe that there is no competition so nothing to compare it to locally and we can all agree about prices being a little high. And second due to the fact that Brookshire Brothers actually reached out to me about my two star review I have retracted that and given them three stars for the effort because most companies don't even bother replying to their reviews. But three stars is the best I can do due to the high prices but I understand that because there is no competition but there's no need to take advantage of a small-town community to increase your profits. But on a positive note the store is usually fairly clean and staff is always friendly and always willing to help and the deli has great breakfast early in the morning. And also I don't personally know him but he is a manager and his name is Craig the only reason I remember his name is because he always speaks to me about my shopping and how my day is I imagine he speaks to everybody he comes into...
Read moreThey price gouge.. alot. But I guess they can get away with it since they are the only grocery store for 20 miles This isnt a store, this is highway robbery.
The store director Craig Coggins is a total dick. He cutts the employee's hours in an effort to screw his employee's out of their health beniifits. This makes the staff unhappy and they provide bad service. I dont blame the employees for being unhappy and mean. I couldnt live on 14 hours a week if I tried. Also, rude customers are allowed to trample the employees if needed and will almost always get away with it while getting the employee into trouble. Aside from that, there have been over 15 parking lot collissions and crashes in the last year alone. Be carefull driving...
