Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Kirbyville

It was a bit late and we were REALLY hungry and enthusiastic about food … and usually have great experiences at Sonic in other locations. This place takes “the cake”. Omg. Consistency of bun? Cold pudding. Disgusting. For reals. Tomato slices inside? Slimy. At the end of their useful life. I ordered “No Ketchup, Please” and got? EXTRA Ketchup! Syrupy sweet and disgusting. Did not get extra pickles either and requested onion removal was ignored also. Both burgers were gross. The french fries didn’t even save the day. They were fried in rancid oil and did not smell (or taste) very good at all. What a horrible experience. This mess cost almost 20 dollars. The only thing redeeming this experience was the young man who brought us the food. He was nice enough. But if I knew he prepared this rubbish? I wouldn’t have anything good to say about being here at all. Blech. Please fix the problems at this location. I see other unhappy reviews. Something here is not quite right … to say the least. Other sonics are doing better. Thank goodness. It’d almost be worth it driving over to the Kountze...

Small Town Sonic that has good food and great people! We usually hit Sonic right after school let's out and our 7 year old has hunger cravings which come in spurts!! He always opts for the Junior Burger with double meat and cheese with Catsup only with fries or tots depending on his mood and a medium drink. He also usually gets a medium order of popcorn chicken to snack on, on the way home! If I get anything it's the Jalapeno Cheeseburger all the way with chili-cheese tots with onions and jalapenos and a drink. The wifey always goes for the cheeseburger with bacon and no lettuce with onion rings and a drink. We love our Sonic and the people there! They are always in a good mood and are pretty fast about getting your order out depending on how busy they are! There is always an after school rush in our little town, so I guess everyone has the same struggles we do with hungry young ones!!! Silsbee Sonic always, not exaggerating, messes something up. Vanilla milkshake was pure milk, I was told "that's the way the machine puts it out!" I asked her to "please take it back in, have them add some ice cream to it and mix those two together." And as I watched that is exactly what they did. Also "cheeseburger plain and dry" comes with the wrapper smeared, not exaggerating, with mustard. To a 9 year old who doesn't like condiments, this is a deal breaker, and he eats on the way home, using the wrapper as a plate. The server said " oh that happens!"
