Hello Juice & Smoothie (Kirkwood) — Restaurant in Kirkwood

I've been to the original location multiple times and raved about this place to my partner. He discovered acai bowls recently so I took him there and the experience was not great like at the other location. I felt silly because I bragged so much about this place but one bowl came out green even though it was the ocean bowl and was really thick and a bad texture. We also ordered the dragon fruit bowl and it was extremely runny and watery and couldn't pick it up with the spoon. The textures were inconsistent compared to when I went to the other location multiple times and regretted going to this one especially for the price. My first visit in, and likely my last

The staff I interacted with were very nice, however the service fee added to the transaction without visibility near the POS or verbal notice was off putting. Also the tip screen is unnecessary, I get that is the default for most POS systems, but when I am the one grabbing the drink, placing it on the counter, and completing the transaction, why would you present a tip screen and at what convenience are you giving me to pay an additional charge?

I personally didn't enjoy what I bought, but I wouldn't have known if I hadn't tried it, I'm cool with that. Though I would have been open to trying different drinks, I don't see myself returning to try again as a result of the service fee and POS...

My favorite juice spot in St. Louis. I always make sure that when I’m come back home that I get my fresh healthy juice/smoothies from here. It’s very cute on the inside and the staff is friendly. I’ve had everything on the menu but the Honey Lavender and Avocado toast is my favorite combination. You can’t go wrong here, everything is good. Side note: if you sit inside, be sure to bring a jacket because it’s cold, even in the summer! Other than that, it’s one of the best if not the best places for a healthy meal.
