I was from out of town and was visiting my cousins when I visited this location. My cousin and I were going through the store shopping in two different areas. My cousin finished before I did and went through the cashier lane and paid for his items. He waited for a few minutes at the front waiting for me before he decided to come find me. He tied a knot into his bag and was holding it as he came back into the store. A private security guard approached him agressively and accused him of stealing because he came back into the store to look for me. The security guard took his bag and refused to return it. By this time I had entered the check out line and was paying for my items. My cousin came to where I was at and told me what had happened. While we were both at the cashier stand the security guard came up to the stand and threw my cousins bag at him and then told the cashier that he needed to speak to her. By this time I was upset and frustrated by what was going on. After the incident with the security guard the cashier begin to question where I was from. Why I was shopping in their store. I asked why and she just repeated her questions. I told her it was none of her business and proceed to pay for my items. She took my money and handed me only one of my bags and did not hand me my change. She called for the next customer in line and waved me out of the lane. By this time my cousin had had enough. He spoke to the cashier, got my other bag of merchandise and my change. We then both left. This was my first visit to this store chain and I will say that after being treated so poorly I will never walk into one of these...
Read moreI have to say that when I walked into the place I wasn't impressed. The floors are so dirty they are stained and it makes the place look a little unappealing. Many of the dressing rooms do not lock and I had to have my mom hold the door closed so I could try the clothing on.
The people are also really rude. I'd been in the isle no more than a minute. The isles are very small, no place to be running a basket through, yet a woman pushes her basket through before asking me if I could move in a shout.
While all this doesn't sound like a place you'd wanna shop at, you cannot beat the quality products and the prices for them. Where I spent a 130 dollars on 4 pairs of pants from JcPenny, I only spent 40 dollars for three pairs of pants at Dd's. As a plus sized junior, that's saying something. The clothing pieces also had a style that reminded me of something I'd find at Forever 21 or Charlotte ruse.
So, despite the appearance and the other customers the place is actually great. It's also relatively organized. If you're someone who can overlook rude customers and a not so appealing appearance than I'd recommend this shop because the prices really...
Read moreI don’t normally go to dds to shop but today i did, the prices are great very nice stuff and for a cheap price. The staff was absolutely horrible besides the loss prevention man he greeted me when i walked in and was kind. The staff was plain rude. I went to go try some clothes on and all you hear from the staff is them talking amongst themselves they aren’t talking to the customer they are just chit chatting with their coworkers. They talk in spanish around the customers who can’t understand and they talk bad about the customer. The staff calls next in line when you are still standing there grabbing all your stuff together. The staff does not quickly fold your clothes and put in the bag no they just scan the items throw your items in bags and point at the receipt so you can grab it along with your other items. The service absolutely sucks here, the prices are great but i will not be going back due to the customer service...
