I had an utterly frustrating experience at Pollito Chicken's food truck located at 701 E Hinson Street in Haines City. Despite hearing positive things about the restaurant, my recent encounter left me bewildered and thoroughly dissatisfied.
On the evening of December 29th, 2023, at 6:20 PM, I pulled up to the food truck, eager to place an order for 12 chimis. However, my anticipation turned to disappointment when the employee, flat out refused to serve me. I was sitting in my vehicle just outside the food truck, ready to exchange my hard-earned money for a satisfying meal, yet I was met with outright denial.
What baffled me even more was the absence of any apparent reason for this refusal. He claimed he was too busy to make the food. The employee seemed disinterested and occupied with their phone, completely disregarding the fact that I was the only customer there and willing to wait. I wonder what he was busy with? He wasn’t even cooking! Is this how Pollito Chicken operates its food trucks? By allowing employees to shirk their responsibilities and turn away paying customers?
It's disheartening to witness such a lack of customer service, especially when one is willing to spend money on their establishment. I couldn't help but wonder, what's the point of operating a food truck if the employee in charge is unwilling to fulfill their duties? This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I'm left questioning the integrity of Pollito Chicken's commitment to customer...

I travelled from AZ and I am Boricua.
I am proud of our culture establishing the roots here in USA.
So many of my people here and such a beautiful atmosphere.
I went to 2 different PR restaurants. El Cilantrillo and Pollito Chicken.
#1 Pollito Chicken
Best dish was their rotisserie chicken with that amazing vibrant sauce.
The Yucca was outstanding, better than my mothers.
And the arepas were like flat sorullitos to me.
Not so favorite were the yucca Alcapuria and the tostones. I had it delivered so maybe that’s what caused the flavor to be off.
Cilantrillo best dish was the pionono alcapuria.
I tried the rice and beans, arroz con gandules, regular alcapuria de carne and bistec encebollao but flavors did not hit.
Thank you all for even having a successful PR business. Love y’all!
5 stars for Pollito Chicken
2 Stars for El Cilantrillo by Orlando not the Kissimmee location.
Also price was also reasonable at...
Read moreNice gem, mostly. Interior is not a four or five, which is ok, its in a strip mall, and it is about the food, reason why I come. Very flavorful food, roasted chicken, juicy, seasoning is balanced, rice and beans ok, not great, but good as a side. Have been here on three occasions. Third occasion was disappointing however, came late, ordered usual chicken, rice and beans, tostanes. Rice was old, and hard. Indicated such, received a shrug and response of "all we had left". My thoughts were, well, then advise the customer before ordering, better yet, indicate out of rice. Don't serve a customer, end of day hard rice that was not consumable. So, gave food a four star, because the chicken was great as usual, but service a two star due to shrug and lack of thought or attempt to recify or offer alternative in serving hard, non...
