I've been a loyal customer of Grand Street Pizza for almost 20 years! I even still order for pickup after moving from Knightdale to Clayton. It's my favorite restaurant when I'm in the mood for "New York Style" pizza. I've never actually been to New York, so I can't speak to authenticity, but their pizza meets all of my requirements. When you order a whole large pie (18"), the slices are large and foldable, with crust that's extra thin so you don't fill up on dough and can enjoy the quality toppings. It starts out floppy at the tip of the slice and gets just slightly crispy as you approach the edges. If you reheat the pizza in an oven or cast iron skillet (or order individual slices in-store), the twice-baked crust gets a bit more crispy, which is also delicious! The toppings are high quality and not skimpy. My favorite is the sausage which is not the usual crumbled variety, but fresh, thinly sliced Italian sausage instead. They have a decent selection of toppings including the most common chain-style fixings, and a few more specialty options like fresh garlic, feta cheese, tomatoes, spinach or eggplant. I would like to see them add some more deluxe options, like Pesto or Alfredo as base sauces, and some more exotic toppings like artichoke, roasted red pepper, sun dried tomato, etc. I also wish they had an extra large pizza size like some of the downtown Raleigh restaurants have, so you could have those giant, floppy slices that fill a whole plate! My only complaint is that I really preferred the old location, which was a stand-alone building with ample parking and a more pleasant, family atmosphere. The new location is in a strip mall where close parking is sometimes difficult to find. It's also right next to a sports pub/bar with an outdoor eating area so there are often drunk and rowdy patrons hanging around outside, which is much less family friendly in my opinion. But I understand that this location probably costs a lot less, and I would rather settle for the new location than see them raise their prices sky-high, or worse, go out of business! All in all, you can't beat Grand Street Pizza for New York Style Pizza, especially in Knightdale!

Ordered a couple pies, chicken wings, and knots for the family. The wings were nice and spicy but still had flavor which was on point. I'd eat here over a Dominos or Papa John's or any of those other chains any day. Never been disappointed with the food or the customer service. Do yourself a favor and give them a try!! Update: great customer service this evening! Picked up pizza and wings, got home to find my wings EXTREMELY small. I do not usually call and complain, but felt as though they were just way too small. Asked if I could bring them back and have them remade. The lady told me to keep them, and she would make me a fresh batch and that the wings that they had received were smaller than usual. She stated they were supposed to give me a few extra. I went back, and they had made me a whole new order with much larger wings. Thank you for the great customer service! And I will be back again...of course! -Will

Tried this for our first time tonight! We ordered delivery and the delivery time was shorter than expected! Their website is easy to use and checkout was a breeze. We ordered the 18” pepperoni well done and the 14” supreme with mushrooms on one side (also well done), a side of large seasoned fries, and then 6 garlic knots. Everything was great, we may order extra well done next time - we just like our cheese to be a bit darker! But other than our personal preference, it was perfect!

It is over price for food and pizza. That is not that good. I told the lady I didn't like pepperoni's And that I wanted a sausage and Mushroom pizza With the cheese cause the cake cheese is free. They brought it next door and it was A Clever money in sausage pizza , which I hate Pepperoni's cause they're so greasy!! And only took him ten minutes to bring it over the first time. When I went over. And complained about it , it took me Over twenty minutes and I finally walked over there, And at the lady That screwed up on the first one and was supposed to be making. The second one was on a break in the back.Seat at the very back of the restaurant, The guy that brought it over was there in the very back, I don't know what he was doing. And my pizza had been sitting on top of the middle of the Oven For at least over ten minutes!!! My friend started messing with me and asked me if they were spitting on my food and I said probably. The lady that was working said She just got off break and didn't know anything about it, As it was sitting there for at least fifteen minutes. The Pizza quality was a lot worse. They barely threw any cheese on.There is a few sausages and it looks like they threw a pile of mushrooms on the top and on the center , but wasn't even warm!!!! I've been a waiter and a bartender, and I've worked in the food industry for a while. And this is not how you treat your customers.Cause I will not come back, especially nowadays with Google reviews.Because they're getting a very bad review on this one!!! And a funny thing is I told the lady at the very beginning That I did not like pepperonis Because they were so greasy!!! But the quality of the first one which I didn't like cause it had pepperoni's was a hell of a lot better than the quality of the second 1 that had to wait over 20 minutes for and actually go get myself because out of 3 people that knew they screwed the order of nobody brought it. Over.!!!!!! I don't know who the manager is there But I would like to have a long talk with you.About your employees And their conduct on the situation which is totally Unacceptable!!!!! And it's disgraceful On your company side of it, They knew they screwed up and yet when they Remove the pizza.Nobody brought it over. They just let it set on top for fifteen minutes at least!!!! To the management, You need to either retrain those employees That were there working today or you need to let Go and get some better employees That will actually do the job They were hard to do and not do it half way!!! I don't know if this is a local company.Or corporate, but I'm about to find out.Cause it's really upset me!!! If you can't hear or you can't do your job then you do not need to be in that industry at all!!!!! I'm not being harsh.I'm just being a realist, This is exactly how you lose customers And get a bad name and reputation!!!! I hope to hear from somebody over this incident To rectify and Make the situation right, What do all your employees go on break at the same time? And then the only one that gets off break doesn't know that the pizza has been sitting there fifteen minutes and should've been delivered fifteen minutes ago???? This is the worst night in communication And that's what everybody was joking about As it was taken so long that they were spitting on my pizza Which I really wouldn't doubt it at that point Being so long into the process!!!!! Whatever staff you had working Friday on the 12th. How about 4-5 pm, You need to either retrain them all or fire them all!!! After they screwed it up, you figured they'd get the pizza right over there. Quickly as possible. Not for me to come over 20 minutes later and sit on top of the middle of the oven in a box. And the girl not even know what's going on and later that made it in the back on break and the guy in the bag. Doing nothing!!!! He could have brought it like he did the first time. That's why I was truly wondering if they spit on my pizza, And like I said , the big pilot mushrooms say dumped In the middle and the back was cold!!!! I've a few That were really...

I would have given them 5 stars.

We've been going to Grand Street almost every other week on a regular basis, for years, even before they moved to their new spot.

A few weeks ago, I went in to get the same order we ordered every time. The portion was much smaller, and they called it value size, and I explained we get the full size (I have a 17 year old son). They argued with me (I've never seen this young lady before) that because we don't get meat- the portion is smaller. ??? Ridiculous. We NEVER get meat. I even pointed to the size we get, I was told, "No, that has meat." What in the world?! Makes no sense. They literally argued with me and it was seriously embarrassing, other people were waiting. I have never ever had an experience like that before with them. There's no need to act like that, and no one else spoke up.

I took the food and left. The value size portions (there were two) together made 1 regular size portion we ALWAYS get.

So, you lost a very loyal weekly customer.

I'll just continue to go to Frank's, excellent customer service, and phenomenal food. We would go to Grand Street to switch it up often - but not after that extremely rude...
