I bought a new house and replaced all of the flooring in my upstairs with Broadway carpet. I had one room that had an alternate type of patterned carpet. Broadway carpets quickly scheduled me for the week after my purchase. I was impressed by the speed considering one of the carpets was special order. That said, there was a miscommunication between the office and one of the teams and they told me the job was finished when they really had one room left. It affected our ability to move in and I called Broadway expecting the normal type of customer service that you get from a construction company. That was not my experience at all. The owner actually spoke to me and apologized profusely for all of the issues. He.corrected it as quickly as he could and he offered financial assistance since it affected my move schedule. At the time, I was satisfied with our conversation, although still a little disappointed by the delay. When I got the bill they had accidentally double charged for the alternate carpet. I caught the issue and reached out to Broadway again. They quickly corrected the bill and sent it back. I got distracted with the holidays and forgot to call and make the final payment. When I called today, I found out that they had written off the remainder of the bill due to the delays and mixed up bill. I have done a lot of renovations and have worked with a lot of companies related to construction work, and this is the only company I have worked with that went above and beyond to ensure we left happy. I hope no one reads this review and sees that there was issues and stops there, because I've never had dealt with a reno or construction company that doesn't deal with delays and communication issues. But Broadway Carpets is the first I've worked with who took responsibility and truly worked to make it right. They have earned my business for life. "No Returns on Ordered Materials" is buried in very tiny font in the middle of a paragraph on the sales receipt that you receive AFTER you have purchased the flooring. The tiny print first says no returns on goods after 30 without a receipt then mentions no returns on ordered materials. The Salesmen and installer convinced us that we needed to purchase more flooring than we had requested now due to supply chain issues getting more if we needed it to complete our project, so we did purchase what the warehouse had on the shelf which turned out to be 6 boxes too much, when I contacted the salesmen to return what he told us we needed they refused to take it back citing No Returns on Ordered Materials. When I pressed the issue with the salesmen I got the "I'll have to get approval from the owner and call you back", there was no call back. Pre-finished flooring is a good since it's completely manufactured but not assembled, but apparently they use that distinction to their advantage. No mention was ever made by the salesmen or owner prior to purchasing that we wouldn't be able to return the surplus flooring if it turned out we didn't need it. Read moreI cannot say enough about the excellent experience we had with Broadway. We made 3 visits with the salesman Mike while deciding which floor to choose. Mike was patient and very helpful. He gave us suggestions with no pressure, he gave us a number of samples to take home and was very straightforward with his estimates on a few choices. When we decided on the final product they scheduled an appointment two days later to take actual measurements and update the quote with real numbers. We had an installation date scheduled within 10 days! Communication from Broadway was excellent. We received a reminder call about the install 24 hours ahead. The installer Robert called 45 minutes prior to arrival to say he was on the way. Robert and his team were very professional and went out of their way to provide an excellent installation. Their installation included fixing minor flaws in the floor they thought might affect the long term integrity of the floor. Robert didn't like the caulk color around the fireplace and came back on his day off to bring a better color. We received our final bill a week later and it was slightly less than the original quote!
