
I LOVE this salon. Iāve recommended this place to everyone I know. Why?
The staff is amazing! They have consistent training and take the time to make sure they know what you want with personalized consultation. Chelsea is an incredible colorist. Iām extremely picky on the tone of blonde I like and she is patient and explains whatās going on during my color. I look forward to my appointments. Malcolm and Tatiana are excellent stylists. Again, picky on length and they talk through what style I want and give amazing cuts.
They have this week guarantee! When dealing with hair, sometimes things can go not quite how you expect. It happens. This salon backs up their service and prices with a guarantee that if your not quite satisfied, theyāll fix it. Not to mention that the staff wholeheartedly wants you to be happy with your look. They donāt make you feel bad or guilty at all. Itās one of the reasons I recommend so many people. Salons just donāt do that. Their prices are what you expect from a luxury salon, but this guarantee gives you peace of mind that they care about you, and not their bottom line.
Product. Okay.. kinda cheesy, but they have two great haircare lines that they use and sell, Oribe and Shu Uemura. Yes- they encourage you to buy the product, and yes it is Luxury (aka very expensive), but such good product. Why I like it is that the staff make recommendations that actually work for you, teach you how to use the product, and respect the fact that you may not be able to afford it and give you ways to take care of you hair at home that meet your budget. If you can afford to splurge- worth it. The stylists teach me how to use it so I can make my style look awesome at home too.
My ONLY complaint: They use to give an awesome referral bonus. $20 off next service for you, $20 off first service for your referral. Now they have a card that earns points for referrals and if you buy product. The system is still new but I was told that you donāt get a discount off service anymore, just select product. You also have to earn a lot more points then previously, and you donāt get points for services done (wish it did because I spend a lot on my hair- haha). Maybe itās still new and it will get better. I know the owner and staff are great and care about their clients, so Iāll definitely update this if the system gets better.

The two women working the front desk were quick to have me checked in and to notify the stylist that I was ready. With the salons I have visited in the past, I typically have to wait 15-30 for the stylist to see me, so thatās what I expected with it being a Friday afternoon. However, I maybe waited 5 minutes! I only scheduled a haircut, so I was not expecting to have my hair washed. But surprisingly my hair was washed completely with A SCALP MASSAGE! The girl washing my hair (I cannot remember her name to save my life) was super sweet and we quickly found out we live right up the street from one another! She definitely helped create a fun environment at the start of the appointment! She then wrapped my hair in a towel for me rather than just laying the towel over my shoulder like most salons do. I was only seated alone for a minute before McKenzie came with her AMAZING energy and instantly made sure I felt like a friend to her!! She works very quickly, but effectively!! She walked me through her entire process of styling my hair to make sure I was prepared to style my hair at home with ease! McKenzie was also kind in suggesting hair products (affordable ones and ones available to buy at their salon). Surprisingly, the only heat used on my hair was a blow dryer and my hair after leaving the salon held itās shape for the remainder of the day!! And can I say just how OBSESSED I am with the finished cut?? McKenzie had me out of the salon within an hour, but I did not feel like she was rushing one bit!! She kept a conversation going the whole time and is PRECIOUS!! I will definitely only be booking with McKenzie at Salon Aquarius from here...

The same colors I've had in the past were in my chart, which the stylist apparently followed but the results were entirely off. I had to go back to correct their mistake and everything seemed to be going fine with the stylists trainer checking in. She noticed the highlights were blonde again and gave her a few pointers and recommended a glaze to give me the red I was looking for. The glaze was left in for 15-20 minutes. After my hair was dried it was dark burgundy brown!! My hair had several dimensions of vibrant light and deep reds, strawberry blondes, and coppers. They stripped away all the previous bayalages and color treatments I've had in the past and gave me a dull, ugly brown in my opinion. Once I reached out a third time, no response from neither the store or stylists for at least two days. They didn't apologize or decide to correct it again by giving me red highlights. They wasted 6 hours of my time, $40 in tips, made my hair look worse than when they touched it, and the owner said we'll be happy to give you a refund, good luck. That does not serve me justice. I don't know where to go from here, I've been left deserted and disappointed. I will not being going back because they told me "I'm too complicated for them and it's above their...
