Let me start by saying I can’t comment on the food, though I’m sure it’s good — at these prices, it should be. What I can comment on is the experience, which is why I’m leaving this review.
We visited on a Friday night, went out of our way to bring a family of five here, and the place was empty. Our server, Josie, was wonderful — attentive and kind — and this review isn’t a reflection on her. She’s the reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 for service.
The issue was $30 worth of Clipp bucks (similar to Groupon) we purchased specifically for this restaurant. The promotional portion did expire, but the dollars paid never should — that’s how Clipp works, and you have that guarantee when you purchase them. The owner chose not to honor them. He wasn’t on site but was available by phone, and unfortunately decided not to engage with us directly by phone and only spoke through Josie, though, we ultimately wanted to talk with him specifically.
I realize there’s been a change in ownership, but here’s why declining to honor prepaid credits is short-sighted:
Trust: Customers need to know money spent on your business is respected. Breaking that trust damages reputation.
Loyalty: Saying yes to a small credit can create repeat customers. Saying no over $30 can cost far more in lost business.
Integrity: New ownership is a chance to set a positive tone. Refusing to stand by prior commitments sends the opposite message.
Even a small gesture — like honoring a drink, or suggesting their free-drink app offer — would’ve turned this into a positive experience. Instead, no alternative was offered, which made the refusal feel even more short-sighted.
This isn’t about $30 — it’s about whether customers believe their investment in your business is secure. We made the effort to support this location. I’ll leave it to management to decide how they want their business to...
Read moreRecently, I ordered a 3 day cleanse from these folks and, 3 ginger shots. It was a huge disappointment. I've done juice cleanses, routinely, for the last ten years and, from a variety of sources. Traveling frequently, I've done cleanses from Hawaii to Utah to Florida to Costa Rica and, everywhere in between. Some times, I've ordered them to be shipped to my home and, other times I've made them myself. Never once, have I been disappointed. So, when I started this cleanse and, found that most of the juices were absurdly sweet, it was a big surprise. Not only was the taste unbearable but, there is a concern over how much sugar was in them. Of course, it isn't added sugar. It is from fruit juice but, too much sugar is too much sugar, regardless of source, especially when the goal is a healthy cleanse. The ginger shots were mostly lemon. I asked for straight ginger. It was a total waste of money. These juices are not cheap. I wrote to the corporate office and, hope they work with me to make this right, somehow. Experienced or, serious juice...
Read moreI’m not one to leave bad reviews, however…
Waited at the register for over 10 minutes before order was taken and then paid $30 for a bowl and juice. Nobody working there acknowledged we were standing there. All had heads down and didn’t look in our direction. There’s a sign on the door that says wait times are longer than usual, but for 5 staff members to not even acknowledge us or say “Hey I’m sorry about the wait, we’re slammed, we’ll be with you asap” there’s no excuses for that.
Then, waited for 20 minutes for the order to come out. When it finally did, employee didn’t say a word to me even though she was standing right there. PB&J Bowl was watery, bland, and not good. The juice was okay. Very limited parking.
Cool shop on the inside, I’ll give you that, but experience was...
