My family and friends had an incredible time with Emily. She joked with us, kids too, had fun stories and overall made an already exciting day so much better. This was our first time rafting, I was opening nervous, the kids were openly excited and she balanced it all beautifully. She along with other guides, invited us to play games between boats and just have a fun day! If you get the choice, fight to have Emily as your guide, she is incredible!

The rafting itself was a wonderful adventure. The rapids are intimidating, then as you are going through them you feel secure and Emily told the kids when you lean in etc. I’m not sure how she does it, but she educates, has fun, watches for safety and directs who to paddle when all at the same time! We would have loved to hang out with her all day. They have stops you can swim a few minutes, play boat games and jump into the water.

The rafting main building has a cute shop, fairly priced, real bathrooms and nice changing rooms. It was very clean and overall nice! No need to show up to the site too early, they wait until promptly at the time to start orientation etc. they get business out of the way, in a fun manner, yet clearly covering all the needed points. Even though they have quite a few boats and participants, it was well organized and managed.

The bus ride was “scary” at times with drop offs and such. The driver was professional, bus was in well working order and maintained well. The drive was 30 min or so but you were able to enjoy quite a few views and again the guides made it fun and told jokes and stories.

We will definitely use MAD adventures again, truly appreciate the adventure and had so much fun! Emily is the best and we appreciate...

What an amazing experience. My kids (ages 23, 15, and 14) and I decided to White Water Raft and I am happy we did. When we arrived we didn’t know what to expect, especially with COVID. The staff was very friendly and excited. The bathrooms and gift shop were very clean. They explain everything thoroughly and even rent water shoes.

The bus ride to the river was fun and the guides were very entertaining. When we arrived to the river bank we received further instructions and began our adventure. Our raft guide Cheever’s was awesome. He was funny, engaging and very knowledgeable. He was experienced and made the experience that much better. It’s hard to articulate this experience as it was one we will never forget. We selected the Upper Colorado and it was perfect for my children’s ages. It was a scenic route and wished I had a camera or my cell phone. I decided to not bring it just Incase I dropped it. They did however have a professional photographer taking our pictures at one area of the river. They are truly amazing pictures and worth the cost. It was $55 for 78 pictures. I recently booked a family rafting excursion for a party of 8 on the Upper Colorado River with Mad Adventures. The reservation process was very straightforward and the information on their website is very informative. Upon arriving for our trip that occurred the last week of June, I was pleasantly surprised with the Mad Adventures facility as they have ample restrooms and changing rooms to accommodate large groups. The check-in process went smoothly and we were on our bus to the river in about 30 minutes after receiving our paddles and life jackets. Overall the experience was great for our two families with 5 adults and 3 teenagers. The Upper Colorado is a fairly tame river which worked out well for our group since only two of us had been rafting before so I would highly recommend it for first timers. However, if you have been rafting before and you want something more exciting, I would book one of their other trips. Also, the water level was very low on the day of our trip due to the recent Colorado draught, but our guide Cassie kept the trip entertaining and I would highly recommend her to families looking for a fun family...
