Power Music and Dance has all of the things we want, plus one special element. We have been so pleased with the excellent and vigorous classes that challenge the kids at the age appropriate level of their ability, a body positive environment, modest and creative costumes, well educated and experienced teachers, a clean studio, private classrooms for various disciplines, an expansive choice of classes, and classes for special needs people of all ages. The environment is warm and lacks the stuffy “dance moms/dancers” attitudes that prevail in other studios in the Treasure Valley. Lori is a fireball and knows exactly how to run a tip-top shape studio that is professional yet friendly. Finally, the one special element of Power Music and Dance that puts it over the moon for our family is…HEART! This studio has HEART. I can't believe how much Leah has grown since she decided to try Cheer last spring. Leah has stepped out of her comfort zone. . . .willing to stretch her self and take risks for this team because she loves them so much. A simple one day clinic at our local HS ( thank you Xoe Bateman 🥰) inspired Leah to want to join a summer Cheer class where she met Ms Kiki Costello. Then went on from there to join dance and a competition Cheer team. These girls and their parents have been a second family for Leah, they love her silly weird quarks, her lack of a filter at times 🫣 and care for her when she struggles. Leah's calendar is full with all her lessons, team bonding events and birthday parties. My heart is so full. We love Power Music and dance! All of our dance teachers have been amazing!! Our cheer teacher, Layla Scott, is so good with the mini cheer kids!! She knows all the rules for all ages so they are all safe and not getting hurt. My daughter loves cheer and loves her!! All the kids have learned so much from her. Lori Power does a fantastic job with all the kids in mini hip hop and all the other dance classes we have had with her. She is so patient with the kids and they learn so much!! They all just adore her!! Lori also does a fantastic job with Musical Theater!! She has so much patience with all the kids and teaches them so much.
