Quik Wok Restaurant — Restaurant in Kuna

Super disappointed. I moved to Kuna approximately 6 years ago and I've ordered from Quik Wok on numerous occasions. When I first moved here the food was excellent, they had quick service, and were quick to take my call-in-order so that I could pick up my food on my way home. Over the years the food quality has gone downhill and lately, every time I call them I've had to wait longer and longer before they actually take my order. In addition, it has taken them longer and longer to prepare my food. On several occasions I've shown up to pick up my food without it being ready on time and some of those occasions, I've had to wait at the restaurant almost as long as it was originally supposed to cook my food. I'd sworn off ever ordering food from them again and hadn't done so for several months but last night I decided to give them one more try. I called, was put on hold for just shy of 15 minutes, and then hung up on. I called back anyway and the person who answered was quite short with me(I didn't even inform them or complain about having been put on hold or being hung up on.) They finally took my order (a delivery order) and was informed that it would be 40 to 45 minutes. After waiting 65 minutes I called them to inquire. I was informed that the delivery person was on there way to my home. After waiting an additional 13 minutes I called again (mind you l live 6 minutes from the restaurant) I was again informed that the delivery driver was on the way. In total, it took me 1 hour and 23 minutes just to obtain food from these people. Again, the food was mediocre at best and mostly cold. And the most frustrating part of this experience was it was completely my fault. I knew better! I had sworn to never to order food from them and received the quality of food and service I've leaned to expect from them. I really do love trying to keeping my business local; however, this will be the last time I will order from them again. My only hope is that someone will read this and steer clear of...

I dislike leaving poor reviews but this meal turned me off of eating. I chose the fried shrimp, general tso chicken, pork fried rice, and soft chow mein noodles. The fried shrimp tasted like pure oil, like county fair fried food but 10x worse…like literally drinking the oil. I had to dig the shrimp out of the thick battered crust and even then it tasted awful. The general tso chicken was mushy and the sauce wasn’t even a hint spicy like the description said…just maybe slightly sweet? The chow mein looks like spaghetti noodles and had no flavor. And the rice is flavorless as well. Overall everything is bland and tastes like oil. Worst meal I’ve ever had when ordering through DoorDash, it’s sad cause I wanted to try and support a local restaurant but never again with this place. Oh and I had to reheat everything even though the restaurant is within a 5-10min drive from my house. Overall not impressed.

I would try and get a refund but since the restaurant hasn’t marked my meal as delivered and complete (since they utilize their own couriers) on DoorDash it makes me wonder if it’s intentional to leave it that way so people can’t be refunded. If people are leaving rave reviews I question their taste buds, whether or not they are legit, or if I was just lucky enough to get the worse made meal ever.

If you’re looking for good tasting Asian food in Kuna check out Tasty Thai and Riceworks….they won’t make you regret your food choices. If you utilize DoorDash I highly recommend Tasty Thai, I’ve contributed a bunch of photos, lol.

update: I was able to file an issue on DoorDash (since the order finally was marked completed) but looks like food quality issues don’t qualify for refunds. So be forewarned to avoid this place if you don’t want to gamble...

Really enjoyed my meal as too my husband and kids! My meal included lomein chicken noodles soft, sweet n sour pork and pork fried rice. My husband had broccoli chicken, lemon chicken with white rice. My daughter got broccoli beef, sweet n sour chicken with pork fried rice. We all agreed that our food was nice n hot with great flavors... The environment was great, the service was Outstanding!! Our waitress was very friendly! In the past we had eaten here and our food at the time was nasty and it was extremely loud n noise! This time it was such an Enjoyable time!! The only let down is the restaurant could use a face left on the inside. However we understand that from our first visit to this visit that the restaurant had been sold.. So that would explain why the quality n taste of the food is Way Taster then before!!!
