DELICIOUS, BUT COULD BE BETTER!
Let's start with the burger patty itself, which has a wonderful fresh beef flavor. I topped mine with a second patty/second slice of cheese, plus grilled onions... My wife did a single cheese with the raw onions and said it was really good. The buns are just plain wonderful, so soft and fluffy, but could use a bit more toasting, especially for a double cheese, as it tore some when eating. Additionally, both my wife and I are tomato lovers on our burgers, and the tomato slice was about 1/3 the size of the burger (not good, should be tomato in every bite, especially for the price), so they either need to put at lest 3 tiny tomato slices, or get some big beefsteak tomatoes thar fit the size of the burger. Did I mention that the battered shoestring fries are yummy!
On a seperate note, I did ask to "upgrade" my meal to onion rings, which are listed at $5.25 vs. fries listed at $3.50. I would have been happy to pay the extra $1.75, or even as much as $2.50 to upgrade, but they said they don't do that, and the only way to get onion rings is to buy seperately at $5.25. Every burger joint under the sun knows how to upgrade a meal, but Best Burger pretty much walked away from a $2.50 revenue upside ((maybe the rings cost $0.50 cents more to them, so $2.00 pure margin $ lost because they can't figure this out).
Bottom line... While the burgers are really good, they could be better (bigger tomatoes, toasted bun), and just figure out a business model that makes you money when people want to upgrade, but don't want to pay for both fries and onion rings.... If you want to say fries are included at no charge, I'd say that $17.00 for a double cheeseburger is really friggen high... Fries are listed at $3.50, you've clearly stated their value, so relative to the onion rings, that's $1.75 less expensive. Math isn't that hard!
You guys could quite literally have the best burger around, but It's the minor execution issues that stop you from living up to your name!
BTW, The potential is high enough that I will go back, but if they can't do "tomato geometry", or basic "margin math" in the future, there won't be...
Read moreWe had a fantastic experience at Best Burger! The owner went above and beyond to walk us through every ingredient and step of their cooking process to ensure our allergy concerns were fully understood and safely accommodated. It made us feel incredibly cared for and confident in what we were eating. On top of that, they use high-quality local beef, and you can taste the difference—so fresh and flavorful. The service was top-notch, and the owner’s personal attention made the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and a team that truly cares about...
Read moreHas some highs and lows. Overall not great, but not completely terrible...
Cons: Feels very overpriced, especially if you include a tip. Can't get relatively simple customization right, and takes forever to cook. Kids chicken "strips" was actually just one giant breaded piece of chicken.
Pros: The food is better than fast food at least, so if you want local quality and don't care about the cost, this is a good place to go. Nice to be able to support a local business.
Keep trying to go back hoping it has improved, but I think it is finally time to...
